So this is my first TR and it will be pretty short, but I figured it was such a fun week that I would write something up. I meant to get something up earlier but I've been recovering.
Monday
We get in to Vegas at around 2pm and meet up with our V/P limo driver. I had a Lago Media Suite booked but an $80 sandwich got us an upgrade to a Venetian Penthouse suite. Which, being a two bedroom, was totally worth it. While I liked the decor and the pool table of the Palazzo room more the penthouse was huge and had a real suana in the master (my) bath. After that I had to run around and do some work stuff and we headed off to dinner at Gordon Ramsay.The steak and appetizers were great but a lobster tail I order with my steak was ice cold and not very good. I wasn't in the mood to gamble after losing money on the embarrassing San Diego loss. We were all tired from an early wakeup call so we had some drinks and called it an early night.
Tuesday
I had to do work stuff until 5 or 6 but when I got back my friends had stocked the fridge with booze and we were well on our way to pregaming. We hit Hyde pretty much as they open. I told Anthony we would do a $1600 minimum and he gave us a great table just up from the dance floor next to one of the waitress's birthday party table. We ordered a bottle of JW Blue for ourselves and a bottle of Stoli Elit for later and to share with girls. The JW Blue maybe lasted us 45 minutes as we absolutely destroyed it before the club was even going. So once the club gets going Anthony is bringing girls around and we were going through our second bottle pretty quickly. We were talking to a group of girls for a while but as soon as our bottle was dead they moved on. We made the game time decision to get another bottle and magically the same group of girls show up again. As soon as I pointed that out to Anthony, who was hanging out partying with us most of the night, he got them out of there and brought in some more girls.
This is where the night gets interesting. There were four of us there and Anthony introduced my friend and I to a girl who we go back to my room with. We're hanging out in our living room and then I go to the bathroom, forget she's still here, and go pass out in my bed. A bit later she comes in wanting to have sex and I tell her to get lost, even after she insists that she's really good at waking people up. I tell her to leave anyway so she ends up hooking up with my friend. Meanwhile, it turns out the girls still at our table were a daughter, her mother, and her aunt. So theirs two friends still at the club and one of them takes the daughter home, while the other entertains the mom and aunt while they gamble at the Bellagio. This guy was so drunk that while they were at the blackjack table he tells the mom and aunt that "They should come back to his suite and have a threesome". He ended up being so drunk that it took him an hour to wander out of the Bellagio casino and then another hour to walk back to the Venetian.
Wednesday
Wednesday I spent most of the day in the fetal postion trying to remember and understand what happened.
Thursday
Thursday was our day-night double header with Tao Beach during the day and Tao at night. Chris Traer came through with a great cabana that was a lot of fun and a great way to fully recover from Tuesday night. Tao Beach wasn't that busy but the weather was great and the Traer mind-erasers definitely helped us have a good time. How that guy drinks the way he does I will never understand.
We get to Tao around 10:30 and Chris has us setup at a great moat table. We were there early enough so that the waitresses weren't busy and they had a bottle of champagne so they came over and drank with us. I have to say that Tao has by far the hottest waitresses I have seen. Maybe it's the outfits but damn, my Vegas virgin friends were impressed. As the night goes on we get to talking with some girls and Anthony shows up to drink and it seems to be a repeat of Tuesday night. I encountered one of the first true bottle rats I have seen in Vegas. This girl was going around to random tables where she literally didn't know anyone and without talking to anyone would just pour herself a drink and keep going. After trying that at our table a second time I got security to escort her out of the moat area.
We were talking to a group of 4 girls 2 of whom were pretty big while the other two were OK (not great) looking. So one of my friends takes an OK girl back while the other takes one of the big ones. Meanwhile I am stuck entertaining the biggest one of the lot and it turned out she was married. All-in-all it was a good night and a great way to end the week. Again Chris came by to check up on us and have a few rounds of shots. Again, he must have an iron liver cause that guy can really put them down.
Friday
We had the red-eye back but we got late checkout so everyone pretty much chilled in the room until we had to check out. Afterwords we wandered the strip a little bit and I won back my football-gambling losses plus $600.
This was a great week and I want to thank Chris Traer and Anthony Connelly for setting everything up. Every time I come to town you guys outdo yourselves.
