This trip it was just myself and a buddy and a girlfriend going to Vegas. Saturday 25 leave MKE around 1 and are making good time on flight and are about to land early, are 10 yards from the ground when the nose of the plane goes up and next thing we know we are over the mountains west of the strip, that killed out buzz we caught on the plane. Had to turn around because we were too close to another landing, finally land, get in our limo and slam the bottle of champagne and a round of drinks with booze we had with us and got dropped of at the Cosmopolitan, second time staying there so we knew we were in for a great time. Go in to check in at 1530 (check in is at 1500) and they tell us the wraparound suite is not ready and will call when it will be, I was pissed. After an hour and a half I went to the desk and the room we were told we were gonna have was gonna be pool facing in east tower, 20th floor was still being cleaned. I wasnt thrilled with the room we were gonna be given either. At this point its passed 1730 and I had been having drinks in casino and on way to desk again finally got a call saying the room we were given still wasnt clean, before I could respond clerk stated "but, we have a better view" Perfect. Get up to wraparound on the 59th floor of west tower and can literally see the entire strip, north, south, the lake, Marquee, Boulavard pool. It was perfect and worth the wait. Hung out in the room and had some drinks before heading to the Wynn for our table at Tryst. Gambled at the Wynn for a bit then got in the table service line, which was long. Texted our host Bobby Yeadon (highly recommend) and he came and helped us get in quikcer. Were given a table near the VIP bar/stripper pole with view of entire club and with a 1 bottle minimum. The girls trying to dance on the pole was almost as fun to watch as the waterfall outside. One girl litterally slid under the rails on the perimter like a wwe wrestler did a move and dove out. No idea what time we left Tryst but decided to walk back to Cosmo, gambled at Palazzo/Venetian and thats as far as the walk got us, at this point we all realized none of us have eaten and had been drinking all day. Only thing we knew was open was Earls so had cab drop us off at PH, however, line was fucking ridiculous. So went back to Cosmo and ordered a TON of room service (have not and will not look at that bill).
Sunday 26 Woke up at about 1230-1 and decided to head down to MDC. On way down we decided we needed to chill a bit so just went with Boulavrd pool, however, on way to pool started cashing in vouchers from night before and we all kept winning on the penny slots and tipping the waitress generously, therefore she basically kept lapping the bank of slots we were on and next thing we knew we were wasted in out swimsuits and decided around 1530 we should actually go to pool. Boulavard pool was actually a great party, ended up drinking and partying with a bunch of Canadians and doing what all Americans do with Candadians, say eh and aboot after every sentence, we are douches. Eventually the girl we are with is passed out laying in the shallow part of the pool, I half jokingly did 15 minute pulse checks to make sure she was alive. Went up to lay down in room for a while then realized it was 1930 and we were seeing Absinthe at 2000. We all got ready in about 10 minutes and ran to Ceasers where we made it just in time. Show was crude, offensive, and we laughed the entire time, recommed it. After the show we gambled for a bit and made it an early night.
Monday Checked out MDC for a bit which was a lounge day but the people that were there were still partying pretty hard. Made it to pool after we woke up at 1400 and ate at Aria buffet which was mediocre, and gambled a bit. After taking quick naps after the pool we started to get ready for Marquee for Party Rock, which after the same group and I have gone the last two summers, is the best party we've been to in Vegas, everyone is ready to rage that night. Pre game in room and casino and my girlfriend might have drank a little too much before as I found her dumbfounded at the ATM with 3 guys around her as she stated "the machine ate my card, it at my card!" False:It did not eat your card. Fact: It is still in your purse, and you look crazy. Had a table with a 350 min that put us on the patio however directly off from the main room right when you walk out the south side door off the "circle of death". Our waitress Lauren was amazing, as well as our busser and security. Everytime we wanted to get to dance floor our security would get us passed the bouncer not allowing people into the dancefloor, which was insane, not too crowded and the lights, smoke, confetti cannons made the party even better. Marquee always gives us the best service at the door and inside, not sure how people can badly review it, only thing I will give them is it can be confusing. Everytime we leave we end up in a different part of Cosmo, although none of us usually remember it.
Tuesday We are getting old...slept and lounged most of the day, didnt leave the room until about 1600 and that was to get some food. Thank god we have all done Vegas before and didnt have to show anyone around, was in no mood or physical capability of wandering the strip. We slowly got ready for out last night in Vegas. Made our way to
1OAK at The Mirage to check in to our table with 1 bottle min. Joey said he could have us B1G1 and we all gave out a visceral "ugggh, nooo". We were hurting bad. Took the deal and got a great table in the main room on back wall near bathrooms. Thanks Joey for the hookup, solid host. After pounding drinks finally started feeling good and had a killer time at the club. It was mostly hip hop which we love and was a nice change from rest of trip. The crowd was hyped up and ready to party. The service was top notch, our security guard was on top of it and the are was blocked off for the tables only which allowed for a great space to dance in. 1OAK is overlooked in my opinion, probably one of the best times I had in Vegas and recommend it. The negative yelp reviews come from general admission, which if you read any articles on Vegas clubs, they all tell you just get a table, and I couldnt agree more. Stayed til who knows what time, gambled a bit more, then the last 4 days hit us and we were wasted and ready to hit it. Got in cab line and excuse my insensitiviy but got in a cab with a female, asian, driver. But to top it off after sitting at a green arrow and us telling her to "GO!" responded "Oh my, I think I am drunk too". We survived Vegas and that cab ride somehow and are ready for next trip already! Already of 40 in at the Mirage and 20 at the Wynn because my drunk girlfriend said she cashed them in but found them in purse somehow on airplane home.
