Dates: Saturday July 14th to Monday July 16th
Cast: My brother, his girlfriend, my sister, her friend, and my mother (?!)
So this was a last minute trip. My older brother was being awarded as one of the top 40 lawyers under 40 by the National Bar Assoc and the dinner was Sunday evening. I found out about 2 weeks ago that I could make it. Still was able to get a cheap flight but this required me to fly back at 630AM on Monday. Split a room with my sister and friend at Treasure Island while the others stayed at Caesar's (where the conference and dinner was)
Saturday
I wake up at 5AM for work and realize I never checked in for Southwest (flight was at 730PM). Check-in ASAP and somehow still get A group. Get off work around 6PM and head straight to LAX. Down a few beers before my flight and see some talent around the gate. Somehow even though I'm A41 I end up in an aisle seat in row 3 while this fine ass black chick has the window. We're having a great convo (and I don't notice a ring) but I have to break the seal and when I come back to my seat she is knocked out
. When we land she wakes back up but I couldn't close the deal.
Cab it over to TI and my sister and her friend are getting ready in the room. I'm sober and tired so I start pounding Hen and Cokes while everyone gets ready. We walk over to Mirage to meet my brother, his gf, and his lawyer crew to go to our table at 1OAK. By this point I'm pretty damn gone (actually vomited right outside TI on the way there). Apparently I was falling asleep standing up in line but somehow we get in w/o a problem. Barely remember anything from 1OAK. I met a bunch of girls (only know this because I had a lot of new #'s the next morning) but I couldn't close anything. Desperation kicks in after the club and I'm trying to spit at this chubby white girl (she did have a nice rack FWIW) but her and her group isn't having it so I stumble back to TI and just crash.
Sunday
Sleep in as there's no pool party on the agenda.Sunglasses and advil are the mantra for the day. After I wake up I send texts to all of the numbers to see who will bite. Go meet my brother, his gf, and my mother for lunch at Spago's in the Forum Shoppes. One chick does reply and we text back and forth for a minute and exchange pics since both of us were trashed at 1OAK.
After lunch go back to TI with the intention of taking a nap but instead I gamble at the Gilley Girls Pit. Drink some beers and lose around 2 bills. Not bad considering the bachelor in the bachelor party I was playing was playing $500 or more a hand and lost $2600 on a bad break on a double down.
Head up to the room to get suited and booted and then cab it over to Caesar's with my sister for my bro's dinner. The dinner was cool and thankfully wasn't unbearably long. After the dinner my sister and I head back to TI while my brother and his crew chill at the after-party (we wanted to hit up a club and my sister's friend was waiting for us). We get ready and I drink a much more responsible amount of Ciroc Red Berry and Sprite (the henny was gone). We argue a bit about which club we want to go but settle on XS. We get there around 12 and the line is a little long and they don't feel like waiting (or paying to skip). After some more arguing we head to Lavo (At first I wanted to wait at XS but then I texted chick from the night before and found out she was at Lavo so I relent) Get in quickly and cover was 20 for me and 10 for them.
DJ Vice is at Lavo and is killing it. When we first get in The Motto is playing and I know it's gonna be a good night (YOLO!) Find chick from the previous night about 30 min in and I end up kicking it with her and her group the rest of the night. Get things started on the dancefloor with the hope that something will happen later. After having a great time at the club (open format FTW!) We leave the club at around 3 or 330 and I realize I'm super pressed for time. (flight is at 630, not packed, and they're staying at PH). On the cab ride there I just bite the bullet and pay $100 to change my flight to 11AM. (I had work at 5PM)
We get up to the room and chick's cousin knows the deal so she grabs her stuff and heads out. We handle our business (twice haha) and then the cousin and her aunt come up to the room with some Earl of Sandwich for everyone. Kill this bomb BLT (I understand the hype now) and pass out. Wake up around 9, shame walk it back to TI, and head to the airport.
