I setup a bachelor party for my buddy and he wanted to go during the week as it was cheaper. I was kind of skeptical about the crowds but it ended up being a great week.
Sun July 8:
Arrived in Vegas at 5pm (30min ahead of schedule!) and we had setup a stretch Escalade as a surprise for the bachelor. Booked through Presidential Limo. The driver was waiting at the baggage claim and was a really cool guy. I think his name was Jeff. We all loaded in and he brought us to the Vegas sign for a group photo. We then toured the strip and got dropped off at MGM. This is where the trip went from good to great already.
Since UFC was the night before, the MGM was sold out and a lot of people had late checkouts, etc. We got to the checkin desk at 630p. I had 4 Queen Exec rooms booked for 8 guys so didn't even attempt the sandwich. While checking in the guy indicated that they were short rooms so he was going to combine 2 rooms in a Marquee suite. 2 bedroom, 1500 sqft with a pool table....umm OK! After further investigation, they were still short rooms so in the end we got 2 Marquee suites instead of 4 Queen rooms. The only downfall is they were being cleaned and weren't ready until midnight! We got a bunch of comps because of it so it worked out.
We ate at the buffet (comped) and went to the Excalibur. I win every trip at the Excalibur so that is the only place I play. It's a dump but it's fun as hell. We finally got our rooms at midnight and my buddy who lives in Vegas had bought all of our booze....and there was a lot of it. We started making drinks and made our way back to the Excalibur and gambled until 5a. Went back to the room and crashed.
Mon July 9:
Got up at 8a (I never sleep past 9a in Vegas) and went for breakfast. We were on the Guestlist at Wet Republic. We got to Wet at about 1230p and it was dead. We ended up getting a couch poolside for $250min. Wet picked up a bit and we hung out in the pool with chicks from Columbus. Stayed at Wet until about 5p and our tab was $850. I think we covered the $250min
We had a table at XS at night for Alesso's 21st bday party. We chilled in the room for a bit and headed to XS for 1030p. I had setup a handshake with Ryan Perrings and he got us in to a table on the back wall but with direct line of site to the DJ booth. We ordered 2 bottles and went to the dance floor. We had been partying in the room beforehand and were fired up. The dancefloor was packed but it didn't have the typical EDM vibe. People weren't raging too much. When me and a couple buddies started jumping around we were stepping on peoples feet. Once Alesso came on, people clued in and when the build up of a song happened, people would move back so we could jump at the drop. We also got a lot more people into it as well.
Alesso killed his set and we ended up leaving around 4a and went back to the room to crash.
