What's up ladies/gents? Just got back Vegas this morning and now I'm at work...barely awake. Just a bit of background before I get into the TR, I went for a Bachelor Party that I was in charge of planning. I had never been to Vegas before, but I felt like I knew it better than people who had gone multiple times thanks to this forum and the people posting here. Thanks everyone. Nothing too crazy happened on this trip so that was a little disappointing. But I was here with a bunch of guys who were recently married/engaged. Suckers. So here goes...
Hotel - Stayed at the Cosmopolitan in a Wraparound Terrace Suite for 4 nights. Eye candy everywhere...unreal. The vibe of the hotel is trendy and modern. The casino is non-existent, but then again that hotel is basically one big club. Anyways, we were in the West Tower with a NE view. We were hovering over Marquee with a great view of the Bellagio Fountains. The rooms were big, spacious and worth the LNF price we paid. However, it was not as clean/kept up as a hotel of this caliber should be. Two side notes and then I'll move on. One, the PIN "mplatinum" appears to give access to free internet. However, I was charged for 1 day of internet, so I'm guessing me or someone messed up when entering it in. Be careful!!! Two, do not sleep on this thing no matter what: http://www.cosmopolitanlasvegas.com/...d_01.sflb.ashx. You will need a chiropractor just as I now do.
So here is the breakdown by day:
Thurs - Get in at 8AM and check-in. Start the day off by walking to Walgreen's and stocking up on Liquor and other essentials (e.g., water, cups and PEDIALYTE). Then we go to a smoke shop and pick up hookah supplies since I brought mine with me. The rest of the crew doesn't get in until later in the afternoon. Initially, we had planned on grabbing dinner at Tao and then going over to the nightclub to get some drinks. I convince the crew it's worth it to get a table. Chris Traer hooks us up with a main room spot at the last minute. I'm def glad we got a table. So we end up talking to some girls (after a while of shooing off some bottlerats) and we all get pretty hammered. I end up sucking face with one of then for what seemed like 30 minutes. I don't remember her name or what she looked like. Afterwards, my buddies were telling me she looked like a Kardashian...only it was Khloe. Just great...is that why I have had "chapped" lips the past 2 days? On to day two...
Fri - The rest of the crew gets in today. They do there introductory things and we start drinking. I hit up PH Casino and was left wondering why Cosmo didn't have half naked girls dancing in its casino. But then again, there are plenty of half-naked girls in Cosmo as is. Dinner was at STK where I planned on it being a reasonable dinner and budgeted $125-$150/person. Well when we get there, we are offered a private room for no min charge. I'm torn, should I get the room and have an intimate dinner with some friends while roasting the bachelor or should we sit in the main dining area with all the action. We chose the private room and missed out on the eye candy, but did we have a great time. At the end of the night, we are left with a $2k bill amongst the 6 of us that left me laughing my ass off. Good times.
So the original plan was to have a cheap, low key night on Fri and go to the Palms Hosted Bar after dinner for $90. Change of plans, I call up a limo from the Rhino. One of the guys landed at 11:30PM and didn't even get to check his bags in. He hopped straight in the limo after he got out of the taxi he took from the airport. As soon as we get there, I see a specific table I want. I tip security and tell him to kick the guys out of there so we can sit there. Done! I don't think I even sit down before my buddy brings over this Goddess. See you guys in 4 hrs. I will leave out the details, but our group was there from 12AM-7:30AM in VIP Rooms. Crazy, expensive night. Thanks for the "complimentary" Limo home Rhino. And thanks to my friend who managed to drag me out of the club because he finally ran out of money.
Sat - I spend the better part of the afternoon recovering. We got a Grand Cabana at Marquee that night, so I drink sparingly during the day (yes, how lame). I get a text from Khloe lookalike and ignore it. I get a text from the stripper at Rhino and don't ignore it. So, let's get to the meat and potatoes of the night...Marquee for KASKADE. I'll admit it, I'm not a big fan of house music. I love hip-hop, but Kaskade is amazing. Packed the house like I couldn't even image. Thanks to the posters on this board for recommending a Grand Cabana over any other table on a Kaskade night. Thanks to Justen Crews for setting things up too. I gotta say, the service at Marquee from our waitress/busser was amazing. Def made sure to take care of them. So the night starts off slow as it's basically just us guys at the table for a bit. I blame it on poor recruiting the prior two days. Eventually we get a steady stream of girls coming by and two consistent set of girls that stayed with us. These girls were nice...no Khloe's. Anyways, so the bachelor doesn't understand the idea of pacing himself. He is all fist pumping and taking his shirt off by 2AM. Another 2 guys go to sleep upstairs shortly after. So it's 4 of us guys and 3 or so girls left. Perfect right? Wrong, we have to literally drag my buddy getting married out of the club, through the crowd that is like a freaking wall, and up to his room at 4AM. We still have a half a Magnum of Goose left too. Well, we kick into the bottle a bit more after we get moved into the main room. But after a while we call it quits at 5:30. Main room was still bumping.
Sun - Def a chill day. Didn't do much as we were all flying out Monday morning. Of course, I miss my flight and have to book a separate one-way back home on United because Southwest oversold every single one of their flights back to Atlanta on Monday.
Anyways, overall I would say my first trip/experience in Vegas was great. It was financially devastating and physically exhausting. But I want to go back. We met some good people and it's great to talk to girls who are out just to have fun. Once I recover financially...I'll be back.
