I'm going to attempt to write a coherent trip report from what I can still piece together after a great trip for my birthday. It was only my brother and I this round, but we ending up meeting some badass folks, including JC people, and had an absolute blast.
The trip starts with a free flight for me, and a paid 1st leg for my brother. His flight leaves at 3:30p, but mine is scheduled to leave at 9:30p. This just won't do. I decide to get to the airport for his flight, try to switch my flight, and hope for the best. This will be the first gamble of the trip. Southwest has a full 3:30p flight, so I get my standby and head to the gate. Everybody boards and things are looking bleak. They are 6 minutes past when they should've pushed off when I hear my name called and ticket already printed! Grab my shit and jump on the plane. A couple free drinks on the plane and we land in Vegas ready to roll.
Grab an Escalade to make the alcohol, water, Gatorade pit stop and then we're off to our home base for the weekend - The Cosmopolitan. Now, I have no idea how I scooped a free room with them, but we end up with a comped terrace studio. This room is amazing when I compare with some of the other digs I've crashed at in Vegas. We get settled quick and then hit the Cosmo floor for some gambling and drinking.
Gambling is about even after a few hours on the tables and we've decided to meet up over at Encore with DeX and check out XS. We meet up with DeX and cruise by Surrender. Have a quick chat with Mikey T {nice to meet you man} and roll over to XS. Already feeling a little sauced, we get over to XS, and DeX's host Ryan gets us past the line. {Thanks again Ryan!}. DeX has about 7 lovely gals he's meeting and we say hi. First round at the bar is some shots and drinks, and the night is getting started. Chris Lake is spinning tonight and he comes on at about 1 am. The place is mobbed and the energy is good. Outside is only partially open, but it's a nice night out.

Some dance floor shenanigans, more drinks, and I'm pretty much toast. My brother has already bailed out and my eyes are drooping. I take off from XS and decide that a nice walk to the Cosmo will not only help sober, but be good for me {WTF was I thinking?}. Terrible idea, get to the room, pass the fuck out.
Thanks again DeX for letting us ride the coattails in the club and hang with your friends. It was a blast.
Day 2 begins with a quick trip over to Earl of Sandwich for coffee and grub. Not sure how I'll ever be able to go back to a regular room without a terrace though:

Nothing helps beat a hangover like pounding some Gatorade, ibuprofen, coffee, and some food. A quick beer to get back on track and then we headed down to see if we could hang at the pool. The Boulevard pool, above the strip, was closed, but the Bamboo pool was open.
Some great sunshine, drinks, and loads of talent around the pool was how we spent the day. Saw a big Ivan Drago-looking dude with 2 gorgeous women next to him. He was tall as shit too, stretched way out over his chair. Then it hit me, it was Andris Biedrins of the Warriors. Didn't want to bug him much, but came over to wish him good luck on his season. Though the funniest part was watching security kick him out of the pool for "swimming." If you even stepped into the pool, they were quick to give you the boot as the pool was only open for lounging. So hilarious.
After the pool it was a quick nap, shower up, and then back downstairs. At this time I got a hold of egon10psi {Jon} and they were drinking in their suite at PHo Towers. We headed over there to meet them and say hey. Their room was a 2 bedroom suite which was pretty nice. I won't air out all their dirty laundry, but they had a few people either sleeping in the hospital or a hotel ballroom haha. The dudes were drinking and going hard. Had to snap a pic for posture of one of them not quite ready for the night:

My brother and I split off letting them know we'll be over at the Cosmo, and trying to head over to Marquee. We're doing some gaming and drinking and I can't seem to get anything going on the craps table. I decide I'd like to check out Marquee, but my bro is good playing video poker over at Bond. I got a hold of Justen Crews over at Marquee who let me skip the line and wouldn't take my money! {nice to meet you Justen}. Paid my cover and made my way up to Marquee. The overall layout seemed a lot like XS, but the entire patio was open.

A little windy for my taste, but not terrible. The upside to Marquee for me was Library. This dark little place where they happened to be mixing Prince and Jackson 5 with EDM. I couldn't get enough of it. After a while in Marquee, and making some new friends, I headed out of the club and back down to Bond. It was getting late, I was smashed, and needed something to eat. My phone was dead at this point, so luckily my brother was still playing/drinking. We grabbed some early morning pizza and headed back to the room.
Packed my bags, crashed out at 4, and was up at 6 for my flight back home. FUCKING MISERABLE.
All in all, it was a phenomenal trip with some beatdowns in gambling but made up for by meeting and partying with some awesome people. Great to meet all fellow JCers, and everybody else I drunkenly chatted up while there.
Until next time...
