When: Jan 1-4
Where: Stayed at the Monte Carlo
Who: My girls Ally, Jane, and myself!
Before I start, I just want to give a huge shoutout to Darryll DiPietro. He really took care of us this trip, and I would highly recommend him to you guys for any of your Las Vegas day or nightlife activities! Thanks Darryll..had so much fun partying with ya! ☺
Sunday Jan 1:
Ally and I got into Vegas around 1pm, and had some time to kill before Jane arrived. We walked over to NYNY to go on the roller coaster, which was actually pretty fun minus the long line! Off topic funny story that happened there: I asked the guy in front of my in line to take a picture of Ally and I, and he refused to take the picture because it “wasn’t allowed” (I did check the signs after that and it nowhere said no pics were allowed, just that cameras and other loose items were not allowed on the actual roller coaster!) This was just funny to me because it really reminded me of the Curb Your Enthusiasm on HBO episode where the random lady yells at Larry for trying to bring a water bottle into a movie theater because it isn’t allowed! So if any of you watch it, hopefully you will know what I am talking about! Anyways back to my TR! After that we just hung out at the hotel, rested, and waited for Jane to arrive.
We got the night started at Cathouse where we had a table courtesy of Darryll. It’s a really cool, intimate spot, and I loved the atmosphere/décor in there! Definitely worth checking out…I also love that they offer hookah on all of their tables as well..something different and very cool! After Cathouse, we made our way over to XS where Afrojack was playing that night. (BTW I have used Patrick Frank at XS many times for both GL and bottle service and he has been great!) We got there probably around 12ish and walked right in, and the place was raging hard! Other DJs that were spinning that night included R3hab, Quintino, Bobby Burns, Bassjacker, and Shemanology, so it was a pretty sick lineup if you like EDM! Bounced from table to table and stayed there until maybe 330ish, then headed over to Drai’s. Was on Zane Weber’s GL, and when we got there walked right up to the door and got in right away. Not to crowded when we first got there, but after about 30 mins it really got busy. We stayed in the EDM room and the DJ (not sure who he was) but he was amazing! Overall awesome first night back in Vegas!
Monday Jan 2:
We didn’t really do much besides sleep during the day, but eventually got up, got ready had dinner in our hotel, and headed over to the Cosmopolitan. The plan for the night was to see Avicii at Marquee! We ended up previously buying the presale tickets which were only $20 so definitely not bad. When we got there we picked up the tickets, headed upstairs and into Marquee. It was actually my first time at Marquee, and I loved it! Awesome club. By the time we got there though, it was so crowded that they weren’t even allowing people onto the main dance floor anymore. That was okay though, we actually stayed outside most of the night, which was really fun, and they had a screen set up so you could still see Avicii!
Tuesday Jan 3:
Got up and decided to actually be productive, so we walked along the strip for a few hours, and had lunch at The Sugar Factory. Cute restaurant with a good menu, and it was cool to see all the photos they had of celebrities there along the walls and in the menu. Later on that night we had dinner reservations at Nove Italiano in the Palms. Ladies---if you are ever in Vegas on a Tuesday night, definitely go there for dinner! It is ladies night so its 50% off the entire bill including drinks, and the food is delicious! After dinner, went back to our hotel to pregame a little, then went over to the Palazzo where we had a table at LAVO, set up by Darryll and Donnie. (Thanks guys!) Lavo was SO much fun, especially if you love EDM. We had an awesome table directly behind the dj booth. The dj was amazing, and the staff there really does an amazing job getting the crowd going. They gave out those stick things that light up (not sure what they are called but I put a pic below), they have guys coming around with whistles and lights bringing girls onto the stages to dance, something that lets out fog etc! I will definitely be returning to Lavo on my next trip..such a fun night!
That’s about it for my TR, got to the airport around 630 the following morning for my flight back to Boston which sucked (remind me NOT to do a morning flight next time! Being hungover while flying is not fun lol) Overall an awesome trip…cant wait till next time!
