    Looking for little help, going down at end of April and a buddy wants to see the show KA. First, looking for any reviews from people who have seen and second, best place to get tickets down there. Thanks again.

    I saw KA on my virgin trip in 2009. It was something I will never, ever forget. Before the show started, I could see why it cost so much. Definitely see it. The theatrics and acrobatic feats are more important than the plot, which you won't remember, but lots of Cirque shows are like that. Without giving anything away, you will think that someone will die on stage right in front of you.

    For tickets, try certain Expedia packages that include free show tickets with a stay or flight package. MGM might also have a deal with a stay or something. But even if you can't find free tickets or really cheap ones, the show is worth every penny.
    I just don't give a shit.

      Ka is incredible. Second HunnyBadger here, it's totally worth it. Have you seen any Cirque du Soleil shows in the past? It's a little bit odd if you don't know what you're in for, but as far as Cirque du Soleil goes, I think Ka was one of their most normal shows (some of the other ones are very, very abstract and/or have no plot whatsoever). As for cheap tickets, sometimes they run sales and sometimes they don't. Try checking BestOfVegas (http://www.bestofvegas.com/Shows-Tickets/). Also, I recommend you buy tickets as early as possible. Call when you buy, so you can request the best seats. Probably front row of section 201 is the best it's going to get. Some people like the front front rows, but I think with Cirque shows it's a bit hard to see everything that's going on if you're too close.

        I have also seen KA and found it incredible. If you have never seen a Cirque du Soleil show, you are in for a treat anyhow (although not all CdS shows are comparable). I have seen KA after I have seen "O" and I must say I liked it a bit less though. "O" to me personally is the best show I have ever seen and I doubt anything will ever beat that experience (it helped I had first row center seats and could hear the artists breathe!).

        Otherwise I can only agree with the posters before me. KA has a lot happening in the air, so first row center might not be ideal ("O" has that too, but it's different). I can only stress what schen1119 said: book early, CdS shows are booked out months in advance.

          I purchased my tickets directly from the MGM Box Office. Was able to score Balcony row BB seats 1-2 which the lady informed me is pretty good seats. Bought 2 tickets and spent a little over $300.

            Ka is amazing! It's the only CdS show that has an actual storyline. I was literally on the edge of my seat from start to finish. As was already mentioned by hunny badger, I really thought I was going to see someone die or get seriously injured doing the crazy acr

              The fact that Ka has a storyline you can follow makes it not normal for a Cirque show.

              Very good show, think I've seen it like 5 times now since if I go with friends or coworkers who haven't seen it I usually drag them there.

                heh "normal" compared to any show with a plot. Pretty abnormal compared to most Cirque shows. I loved O, but that one doesn't seem to have any semblance of a plot other than vague concepts of the life cycle.

                Hopefully I'm not hijacking the thread too much, but I'm heading to Vegas soon and thinking of taking my girlfriend to see Le Reve. Has anyone seen that one? How does it compare to the similar Cirque offerings? (I believe Le Reve was created by Franco Dragone, the same guy who created Mystere and O for CdS before he left and did the Celine Dion show).

                  Le Reve was a good time. Not a bad seat in the house, beautiful music, and wonderful acrobatics. Recommended.

                    Reve was wonderful. I literally had shivers down my spine (as in "whoa" not as in scared) when the opening happened.

                    Stories dont matter in all these shows. It is all about the visuals and the amazing acrobatics. In my opinion no show beats "O" but if you have seen it and like all the water stuff, then you are definitely going to like Reve.

                              MGM site is often hit or miss.

                              Id do three things at this point:

                              1- double check to see if your card was charged (happened to me);
                              2- check out Vegas.com for deals. You should get either a free upgrade or a nice discount from them;
                              3- failing that, call the hotel and book through an agent.
