For $30 bucks you may not get anything better in Vegas than anywhere else in the country, unless you live in the country
But my favorite Las Vegas buffet costs exactly $30, so here you go: Spice Market Buffet at Planet Hollywood.

johnnie smalls at hard rock has a great deal going now. its 19.99 per person for all you can eat tapas plates. most plates range from 9-14 per plate, so if you order 2 plates, you're already in the money. one of the dishes is 17 bucks, but everything is available if you do the all you can eat option. solid deal

I have always been happy with the food and price at Mon Ami Gabi, and sitting outside can be a plus. Interested in trying Firefly next trip.

If you want great unique food that fills you up for great prices, try venturing off the strip.

We ate at Lotus of Siam, it is a very popular Thai restaurant that often ranks in the top restaurants of Vegas by food critics. It is located in a shady looking strip mall on East Sahara but inside is clean and cozy. Me and another person both had an appetizer and entree each and our bill was under $60.

Another great place is Raku which is located on Paradise road in Chinatown. It is a Japanese grill place and this is often ranked in the top Vegas restaurants by food critics and is frequented by celebrity chefs. They serve small plate portions ranging from $2-$12 so your bill will depend on how much you eat but me and another person tried about 8 dishes plus dessert and our bill was in the $60-70 range.

              lotus/raku

lotus of siam is a very well known thai restaurant here in town. food is very authentic, and there used to always be a long wait to eat, but they purchased the store next to them, so now the restaurant is twice the size and there isn't usually any wait, which is nice. krung siam is another restaurant that i like to eat at, they have good lunch specials. and ra ku is a nice little spot tucked away, and kind of hard to find. it is on spring mountain road, not paradise. it's set back in a little shopping plaza and you can't really see it from the road, but it's worth it when you do find it. very small restaurant, only 12 tables, but a lot of chefs go there when they get off work, and the food is very good. lots of dishes that you won't find anywhere else

Mon Ami Gabi is a favorite of mine too (and I first went there from a JC member's suggestion too)

I know most people bag on buffets because there is a wierd social blockade on them, but one of my favorite places to eat is The Buffet at TI for their Champagne Brunch...it's $23.95 and I think it's got some pretty great food and the setting is pretty nice considering the typical image that comes to mind when you think of a Buffet. We usually find it a good way to get a big meal in if we're not gonna splurge on a nice dinner.

I gotta go with the Hash House. The food is very good-- the last two times I went I had the chicken benedict and one of the farm scrambles. They have large portion sizes and the damage is only ~$16 bucks/pp. There will probably be a small wait but that will only allow you some extra time to whoop up on their $10 blackjack tables in the Palace.
                      CAN'T WAIT!

Earl of Sandwich at Planet Hollywood. Delicious sandwiches and soups for pretty cheap.

Strip Burger at Fashion Show Mall. Right outside and they have the best onion rings in Vegas. Pretty tasty burgers too.

Mr. Lucky's at Hard Rock Hotel. 24 hour cafe that has some pretty good deals on Restaurant.com Best Blueberry Muffin and oatmeal ever.

Offstrip in Korea Town: Pho Kim Long. 24/h pho and Vietnamese food. The rare steak pho is amazing at 5:00am.

I can't remember the name of the place, but right across from the Hard Rock Hotel, right next to the CVS is a NYC Pizza place that is amazing. BBQ pizza was killer.

Those are the ones off the top of my head.

The buffet at TI had some pretty good sushi, actually. And the pizza across from the Hard Rock I thought wasn't bad but not as awesome as some of the reviews I read. But dinner for two was literally $12!

This thread is great, looks like there was a repeating theme for the Grand Lux. So that will fill the void on another place i needed to hit up during my trip

wow i just looked at the pictures/menu for Hash House a Go Go and I am now officially stoked out of my mind to go there

Firefly was a big hit for my group of 12 friends. Great place for some tapas and cost just about $30.
