  • Trendy dinner spot

Looking for recommendation on dinner spots with a fun, upbeat vibe to hit before the clubs. Cost, high or low isn't really a concern, just looking for something to kick the night off right. Before you go with STK, we have done that on our last 2 trips, looking for something to mix it up, but something similar would be ideal. Thanks for any thoughts.

EastCoast: "I will preach. Vegas is easy. So easy. Either be rich or good looking (or mooch off someone who is one of those). If you are neither, then sit back, let the rich and/or good looking people sort their shit out, and then take their scraps. Booking early is not going to get you ahead of the rich and/or good looking people. Sucks unless you are rich or good looking. But that's what makes Vegas so great. It is completely transparent."

The spots that come to mind off the top of my head are:

      Nobu
Mon ami gabi- if you sit outside it overlooks the strip off of Paris and you get the vibe and energy of all the people walking below.
Jaleo- it's across the hall from STK

Thanks for the responses so far, some good option. Anyone done Andrea's at Encore? Looking at that along with the above suggestions as an option.

          HRH 2013
Flamingo 2014 July 4th Weekend - 15 people bachelor party

Stack has always had a high energy vibe when I've been. Cocktails and apps have fun vibes, and the steak is excellent.

We went to the Strip House @ Planet Hollywood and it was fantastic. We also did Gallagher's Steakhouse @ NYNY. I have been there a few times and have always enjoyed the food there.

China Poblano at the Cosmo. You won't regret it.

Although the food is good. Its definitely not an upbeat vibe or "fun". You can hear a pin drop at this place. I felt like I had to whisper to talk to my GF. This place would meet the criteria for a beautifull, quiet ,romantic spot; quite the opposite of what OP was looking for.

I really liked Lavo and Hakkasan for food, music and atmosphere.
Also got club entry after the meal for free (Tao & Hakkasan).

How was SW for the atmosphere? Like the OP we've done STK but would like to try something different.
