  • Italian Recommendations?

Can someone recommend some Italian restaurants that are pretty legit on their food? I ate once in the place in NYNY, which they had a pretty good Chicken Alfredo but it was way overpriced for the plate. Also if they have any that do it "family style" like the steak houses that would be cool too.

    Thanks.

Carmine's @ Caesars. Price, Portions and "Family Style". Try the Rigatoni.

        Allegro at the Wynn.

It's open until 5am too. Great spot for dinner or post a XS/Tryst/Surrender meal!

Has anyone tried Canaletto? Trattoria Reggiano? B&B Ristorante? Scarpetta? Maggiano’s Little Italy?

Sorry I'm late to the party! Trattoria Reggiano was pretty good, not too fancy but felt like a mom n pop Italian spot. Same thing with Grotto Ristorante at Golden Nugget. If you want authentic Ny Italian deli, go to Cuginos by the college or Rocco's waaay to the west of strip. Both excellent deli!

If you wanna go off strip (less expensive), try Panevino. Many locals love that place.

I like Lavo at Palazzo and Sinatra at Encore.

Lavo's chicken parm is my favorite.

                  Neither was family style dining.

I ate at LAVO last Thursday and sat on the patio. Had the veal parm and thought it was pretty good. Definitely a good atmosphere.

I would also add Maggiano's to this list. Ate there with a couple friends last trip and the food was good. It does get busy, so make a booking.

From memory they did also have a family style menu.
EastCoast: "I will preach. Vegas is easy. So easy. Either be rich or good looking (or mooch off someone who is one of those). If you are neither, then sit back, let the rich and/or good looking people sort their shit out, and then take their scraps. Booking early is not going to get you ahead of the rich and/or good looking people. Sucks unless you are rich or good looking. But that's what makes Vegas so great. It is completely transparent."
