Hey, group of 5 guys looking for a good place to eat Sat before going to the club. Hesitating between Mix and Ocean club. Which one should I pick and why? Or do you know some other place that would be even better? Trying to stay in the same price range as Mix, or less expensive, but def not more.

What club are you going to and what hotel you are staying at? So many choices so I would normally make it dependent on either where I'm coming from or where I'm going to. -
Staying at the MGM going to Light or Tao, not sure yet.Comment

I do like Ocean Club, but its a bit out of the way being at City Center. I have not been to Mix or Mandalay Bay in general for dinner, so don't really know anything there.
At your locations in your price range and seeing you might want either seafood or steak/American I would suggest:
Emeril's @ MGM
CUT @ Palazzo (if Tao)
AquaKnox @ Venetian (if Tao)
Or you could do dinner at Tao, I really like it.Comment

I have been to both, food is good @ both places. One positive about eating @ Mix is you can walk over to the "club" part of mix and have a drink or 2 after dinner.
Ocean club is a little less formal, and they also have some tables in the bar area. Food there is awesome. I think you will enjoy your meal which ever one you choose.Comment

Thanks for advice! If we do Light we are gonna go for Mix. If Tao, prob Aquaknox (it looks really good). But what about LAVO Restaurant? Would that be a good option?Comment

Actually, it only takes one drink to get me loaded. Trouble is, I can't remember if it's the thirteenth or fourteenth.
A good friend would bail you out of jail, but your best friend would be the one sitting next to you saying, "damn that was awesome".
