  • Hakkasan Restaurant

With all the obvious hype surrounding Hakkasan Nightclub, we seem to forget that its actually a restaurant chain . I actually went to the one in SF last weekend and to be honest was quite a bit underwhelmed, it feels like this place definitely lives of hype and atmosphere rather than quality of food, but luckily food quality is a non-factor for the club.

Anyone have been to other Hakkasan restaurants or plans to visit the one in Vegas once open?

Since were staying at MGM we are thinking about trying it, is it the same menu at all their restaurants?

Do you get in free to the club when dining there?

Chain restaurants, even high end ones, are only as good as the chefs and the executive chef running the kitchen. I believe they brought in one of their best for Vegas, so we'll see what they have in store. I've learned not to expect something mind blowing from any eating establishment. I'll probably check it out in May during the invasion on a night we're at that end of the strip.

Considering giving it a go in May as well...hoping for some reviews first though.

Wondering if you can book thru the website or on opentable, or they only take phone reservations for the Vegas one?

I've eaten at the one in Miami and it's VERYYYY pricey. Expect the same from Vegas.

I also read an interview with the head chef awhile back and he did say that there are about 30 new menu items specifically for Vegas. It's very high-end, a little more "rare" items than you would get at a place like Tao, and certainly pricier.

No word yet on if dining at Hakkasan gets you entry into the club.

It came to roughly $260 for my girlfriend and I including tip. We had two appetizers, two entrees, two sides, and two drinks each.

                    For Chinese/Cantonese, that's very expensive.

I've eaten at the one in London and NYC. Pricey but great food. Agree with the comment it's all about the chef. Best with larger groups and the set menus. There is better chinese food for the price, but its still good food.

No go on the club entrance with dinner, at least for now. I emailed them about this weekend 5/10, and here was the reply:

"Entry into the club is separate from the restaurant.

Surely, As its name tells us that the food there should be vary tasteful and it is. Last year, there is change in management and taste is further improved, as I know this happening on the bases of personnel relation. I think, Special is their fast food. Its so yummy and at good extent Hygienic.
