DB's Pong and Pool Sportsbar

I see DB's opened up in Miracle Mile. Anyone been here yet or any news on the place?

Noah should be able to fill you in on this. He's been there and from what I understand Drew Brilakis (was working at surrender) is the GM there.

Yeah it's pretty nice! Drew Brilakis from Surrender is the new General Manager and it's owned by the same guys as Blondie's. It's a 2 story 20,000 sqft Sports Bar with lots of Beer Pong tables, TVs posted everywhere, a handful of pool tables and a stage. Locals get 25% off everything all the time and the prices are pretty reasonable to begin with. I haven't tried much of their food yet, but I've been told its good. The interior definitely looks good for a sports bar. Bartenders/security/waitresses have been a few new hires and a handful of the staff from Blondie's.

Might add it to the invasion listing for next year for a preparty spot and setup a solid deal for JCers. The only downside is that it's in one of the side passageways if you're walking through Miracle Mile and abit tough to find right away (near the Rainstorm area across from Todai Thai Cuisine or whatever). If you valet on Harmon outside the club Krave though, its only a few doors down and within a 30foot walk.

Definitely add it to the list as a good spot for predrinks, sports watching, etc.

DB's and the GM's name is Drew Brilakis. Anyways on a serious note, is it better than blondies? Last time I went to Blondies because of the hype, it ended up being subpar for everything.

I've never been to Blondie's, but i took a few girl friends that have been to Blondie's to DB's and they said DB's is way nicer and place they'd actually preparty at and looks nothing like it. I do know DB's is trying to get a different crowd then Blondie's regulars so it has nicer decor and new tables etc. Hiring hotter girls from the nightlife spots also since summers over and half are jobless now lol.

Drew Brilakis here. First thing I want to do is thank everyone from the JC Forums for all of your support during my time at Surrender and Encore Beach Club. You guys were great and I appreciate all the business/referrals.

Now I have moved on to Dirty Blondes, or what we like to call, "DB's pong and pool"

DB's is a sports bar and pool hall over on Harmon at the Miracle Mile Shops. We have great drink specials and great food. Our kitchen offers paninis, pizza, bar aps, and some great salads. BREAKFAST IS SERVED ALL DAY!!

We have pool tables, shuffleboard, darts, foosball, Golden Tee 2013 and more games on the way.
TVs everywhere for all the games and we will be showing UFC and other special pay-per-view events. Easy access with a valet on Harmon at our front door.
Open from 11 am - 2 am Mon - Thurs. Weekends, we open at 11 am on Friday and close on Monday at 2 am. 24 hr weekends to provide you with a late night venue where you can continue the fun with a drink, some games or a bite to eat minus the smoke, oppressively loud music and hassles of a gaming bar / after hours.

Basically, DB's is a great place to catch a game, pre-party before going to the clubs or just kick back and have some fun. We have Djs on the weekends, a great locals appreciation party on Tuesday nights and we are programming for some live music on the stage.

Come on down and check the place out. We have been getting great feedback from everyone that comes in. Now it is up to you to find out for yourself.

Drew, according to the website, Tuesday is nickel beer & vodka mixers night...did I read that right? Vodka mixers and Papst Blue Ribbon for a nickel? Is this ongoing for Tuesdays or just for this month?
