reservations LDW

thinking of eating in some moderate establishments on advice from here

eg holsteins, burger bar, etc - will it be necessary to call and reserve for a group of 12 or will they be accepting walk ups over what i imagine is a busy weekend

how does the happy hour work over LDW - are they still honoured?

I would definitely look at reservations. Last year during LDW I had to walk around looking for a restaurant to eat during dinner.. it was just a party of 2.
