Has anyone been? We are going in August and in a round about way know the executive chef there. Any comments about experiences?

Place itself is rather good. Great quality steaks and decent service. It's just always a little slow and caters to an older crowd.

I went there with a large bachelor party. Unless you're staying at Mandalay Bay, I can't imagine going down there just for the restaurant. It's good and all, but NO scene whatsoever. Very quiet place and wasn't even full on a Thursday night.

The reason we are going out of our way is because we have a connection to the executive chef and in the end this will most likely make no difference but then again it's about who you know. We really aren't concerned about "scene" because A.) we are going mid-week and B.) we are going for the steak not a "scene". If we wanted scene I would have considered STK or SW. I definitely consider "ambiance" when picking places to eat but feel "scene" is entirely different.

What did you guys order food wise that stood out?
