Looking for a Great Steakhouse on the strip

A few of the guys we are coming to Vegas with want to do a steakhouse. I have been to SW steak house at the Wynn and it was good but was wondering what are our other choices?
I heard there is a place overlooking the strip but don't remember the name.

i liked brand in the monte carlo. it didnt overlook the strip, it was just off the casino floor. very good steak and a cool view but not as cool as say a strip view.

Theres so many on the strip. It all depends on the experience and price range you are looking for.

I havent done too many steakhouses in LV, but I've been to Carnevino and Cut. I want to try a few more but the group I'm with usually arent steak fans.

I've always wanted to try the Steakhouse at Circus Circus and my friends have been going to STK at Cosmo often.

Carne Vino ... !!!! gets my vote every time.... Ive eaten my share of vegas steaks, and carne vino never disappoints...

Prime has amazing steaks, great sides and awesome service and wine list. its also right on the bellagio lake/fountains, so the view is incredible.

carnevino is awesome too, especially if you call ahead and pre-order a 260 day aged steak. (that was not a typo--- two hundred and sixty). its the most intense, beefy, outrageous piece of steak you'll ever have in your life. its not for the faint of hearted.

Not on the strip....but I always enjoy N9NE @ Palms both in Vegas and Chicago. Very consistent service and quality.

mmmm the BBL beef....

Best part about it is they encourage you to take the bone in hand and eat the meat off it... that aged meat is SOOOO good!

Ps... Graf, you really seem to know your way around the 5 star vegas restraunts, we have similar tastes it seems. I have noticed you giving a lot of great food advice and it has always been spot on !

Thanks, Jay! I like the fine dining just as much as i like partying! I never really understand how people can spend thousands on bottles in a club yet insist on being a cheap-ass and skip out completely on the experience of having a nice meal. As far as I'm concerned, a good dinner with good company is the perfect way to start out a night!
