NYE dinner recommendations?

Just a quick question for everyone, I'll be in Vegas for NYE weekend. What restaurant would you all recommend for a nice dinner for 2 couples before we hit the club? We will be staying at the Venetian and celebrating NYE at LAVO so preferably something at the Venetian or Palazzo. Thanks a bunch in advance for the help.

Why not do lavo, maybe (ask a host or venue) you can get a package deal or avoid the line or something. Just a suggestions, please verify with venue

cut at palazzo. 100% legit if you like dry aged steaks. you might be too full to party though. lavo is good too, kill two birds at once.

I put CUT as the best steakhouse in Vegas. Highly recommended.

where ever you go.. make sure its where you plan on spending your night... you will have issues getting around that night... they close the strip at 6pm

Thanks for the help guys, after everything I've learned about Vegas and NYE is that I should try to not venture out onto the strip as the amount of people will just be insane. This is why I wanted to stay within the Venetian/Palazzo. Having dinner at Lavo definitely sounds great since I have tickets for the NYE bash, gonna follow up with a host.

Don't venture out of the hotel once the sun sets. That's my general rule for NYE. Too much craziness and disorder (in all the wrong ways).

I found Lavo's food to be ok, but not special. Bouchon is great. Def +1 on that. I also liked Mario Batali's restaurants if you want Italian.

where ever you eat make sure its in the hotel you plan to party at.. 300,000 plus people supposed to be on the strip

+1 to both posts above me! Great advice, thank you guys. As of now the plan is Lavo Brunch for a couple hours, dinner at bouchon and then back at Lavo at 9pm for the night event with the after party in our room at the Venetian. Counting down the days
