I love Bouchon in Napa, but have never been to the LV location. I should have tried it because I was just at Palazzo for two weeks. Doh. Thanks for the review.

Bouchon is definitely more known for the breakfast and lunch service. Food is always on point and definitely open to the public. As far as Alinea the chef is Grant Achwaltz and was the former sous at French Laundry. Now Devin Knell is running the show at FL and Grant has started a second chicago concept cal Next as well.

Had dinner here with my gf (mostly because of this thread, but also because I was too lazy to leave the Venetian for dinner). One of the best meals I've had out there.

          Plusses
          - Veal tail was sooo good. Had the same texture as pulled park...just came apart and was full of flavor. Amazing.
          - Profiteroles were great. Doused in melted Vienna chocolate I think. I straight ate the chocolate syrup after the pastry part was gone.
          - Not too many places where I can find a Corpse Reviver no.2. Always a treat when I get a chance to taste one.
          - Lamb was solid. Great texture. The mushrooms that it was cooked with were just as good.

          Deltas
          - Salmon was OK...didn't impress me or anything.

Thanks for making this thread a couple weeks ago Darryll. Wouldn't have picked the restaurant if it wasn't for this thread.

Had breakfast there Saturday and Sunday. Saturday was awful. Sunday was back to its stellar self. But given my own personal track record with the joint one bad meal out of dozens of great ones is no thing.

heard the chicken and waffles here are to die for. can someone verify this? never seem to wake up in time for them as they are a brunch option on weekends only, lol.

they are pretty damn good. chicken was really moist and the skin crispy and perfect. just know that its not fried chicken, it's roasted. waffles are savory with herbs and little bits of bacon. yum. also great is the french toast, which is nothing like the classic. it's almost like a bread pudding-- really rich and delicious!
