Anyone been to Stripsteak by Micahel Mina at Mandalay? Supposed to have a signature cooking method that is unbelievable.

I have been. I recall it being great. Although, I had taken 3 shots of tequila before we got there. So . . .

I haven't been to Strip Steak but I've been to Michael Mina's other steakhouse concept (not in Vegas) called Bourbon Steak. They use the same cooking technique and it is effin' terrific. Very unique, very good.

Does Strip Steak have his lobster pot pie? If yes, go get it asap.

Went to Craftsteak last trip and it was (insert homer simpson drool) good. I am interested in Gordon's new place at the Paris that much anger in a person gotta make a great meal.

Went to Delmonico in the Venetian this Jan. It was a last minute "hey, lets have some good steak" idea. Went in with no reservations but got a seat right away. Had the Buttermilk Squash filled ravioli with shredded roasted duck on top. It was mouth watering. Then, the main course was an 18oz filet for two, which they carve at tableside. It was aged, cooked, and seasoned to perfection.

But, I keep hearing about STK. I'm going to have to join this coming Invasion.

The atmosphere is a bit bland, though. If you can get the same quality of cut and prep at a place like STK then I think most people on this forum would opt for the atmosphere of STK.

Yeah, I'd like to try STK. It's atmosphere does look a lot more entertaining. Delmonico was bland. But it made perfect since I was on a 1 on 1. It left a lot of time to talk and enjoy eachothers company.

I ate at STK. Wasn't that impressed with the food. The atmosphere was nice tho. I liked that they had a dj in there. N9ne is still my favorite but I have only tried a few. I am going to do Carnevino on my next trip

We went to ENVY on our last trip. It was awesome, they serve their steaks with some specialty salts on the side that were amazing. They also have a restaurant.com certificate for $25 - $100, but it is no longer good on alcohol. Still worth it, IMO. Last time the chef came out and introduced himself and was very personable. I was impressed with the service too.

I actually do not care for the Sous Vide method they use at StripSteak and other places. Yes, it gets you exact temperature but I prefer Grill / Broil... I need some good crust on the outside.
