I just came back from Vegas and tried out Cut at the Pallazzo.

I Forget all the fancy names for the sides and stuff.
I had the Ribeye 14oz(no bone) with mushrooms. We had a few appetizers, bone Marrow, crab salad, pork belly and a couple more I couldnt remember. All I can remember that they were all good. LOL.

Sides, we had MacnCheese, spinach with egg, and a couple more.

The scotch, wine, and vodka aided in helping me not remember the names of what we were eating. haha.

Overall, it was a great experience and the food was amazing. I am not a full on steakhouse connoisseur so I can't comment to compare with other places. I did enjoy the meal and I would go again.

Honestly, I dont know. It was a business dinner and I didnt pay. All I remember was the bill was over $1200 for 6 people.

That included a $250 bottle of wine, and about 3-4 drinks each person. My steak was $62 and the others had some $135 steaks.

LOL. I wasnt the one who chose the bottle. I'm not a wine connoiseur so it wasnt my thing. I do enjoy drinking it though but I wouldnt know the difference between a $20 one and a $300 bottle. Only half the table were wine drinkers. Pretty cool how they had the wine list on an ipad though.
Sorry couldnt help you on that.

Trust me, you would know the difference....you can tell the difference with a $100 bottle and a $20 bottle...

People who don't drink wine don't give themselves enough credit. If you have a palate then you can differentiate between high end and low end wine...

Depending on where your eating a lot of high end Vegas restaurants jack up the price of a bottle by 2x-3x from wholesale..Funny how restaurants and clubs can get the consumer to jump on these sky high prices...

The Steakhouse at Circus Circus was given 'The Best of Las Vegas' several years & I enjoyed my 30th birthday there.

GP: I really would like to experience and learn more about wine differences but my group of friends arent wine drinkers as a whole. So I guess I'm just not exposed to it as I would like to. I wouldnt know where to start.

Bhart: I'm really curious about the CC Steakhouse now. It will be on my must try list within the next 6 months.

Way down the chain here but had dinner at STK this weekend and it was fantastic. You better like remixes with your steak tartare though because the music is loud and clubby (at least it was at 11pm when we were there). For being such a scene, the food was great, especially the foie gras french toast... simply one of the best things I've ever eaten.

I've eaten at most of the steakhouses in Vegas. I would rank them:

                        CUT
                        SW
                        Prime
                        Craftsteak
                        Botero

N9NE and STK are at the bottom of my list for Gourmet steakhoues (of course, still great though)

I was so sorry to see Ruth's Chris go but the ones back in Louisiana were much better.

My favorite is StripSteak at Mandalay Bay. Butter-poached Kansas City Strip is awesome.

Anyone been to Stripsteak by Micahel Mina at Mandalay? Supposed to have a signature cooking method that is unbelievable.
