Going try to sandwich for a 1 bedroom suite was thinking $100 asking for a wrap around and hope I luck the F out or what I plan is think bigger and hope I end up what I would be really happy for. Should I go that high or try a $50? Any thoughts or success stories?

How many nights you staying for?

For the Halloween weekend, a $50 tip got me an upgrade from a Terrace studio (regular view) to a Terrace one bedroom with fountain view and I was staying 3 nights. Granted that's one of the busiest weekends of the year.

Last February a $40 tip got me an upgrade from a Terrace one bedroom to a Wraparound. In this case I feel I got lucky plus the hotel was still brand new. They weren't at capacity that weekend and the wraparound suites were priced lower than they are now.

Since you've already booked a terrace suite which is only one step below the wraparound, I think it's worth a shot giving the $100 tip. The worst that can happen is they tell you they can't do it and will hand you back the tip. February isn't considered a busy month so I think you have a good chance at getting it if they're not fully booked. It will also depend on how early you check in and how many nights you're staying. 2 nights, $100 tip, pretty good chance. Less of a chance with 3 nights or more but still possible and worth a try. imo

i booked a wraparound for 3 nights, is there any upgrade from that? will $100 get me a penthouse or anything? any thoughts from you vets?...ive sandwiched the venetian/palazzo/PHtowers/PH/The hotel...all mostly high floors with views because i only gave 20$ tip.

Really depends on how busy they are the nights you booked. If you're staying during a weekend, you would be pretty damn lucky to get upgraded to a Lanai for $100. It's worth a shot though. Slip em the bill and say "I was wondering if you might have a complimentary upgrade to Lanai suite available". If they can't do it, they'll hand it back to you.

Lanai looks more like a one-couple suite, where as a Wraparound would give you more privacy (wall and door separating bedroom from living/kitchen) if you're having buddies sleep on a rollaway bed.

its gonna be me and 3 guy friends for a bachelor party. we r going sunday thru wed. from march 11 to 14....was thinking maybe they would upgrade us to a 2 bedroom suite?
