Cosmopolitan Sandwich

I'm going to be staying next weekend at the cosmopolitan. I was just wondering if anyone has had any experience in successfully doing the sandwich trick when checking in?

I was wondering about the success rate with the Wynn too... Going there soon and hoping to get an upgrade!!

BC, I used the $20 to get upgraded to the Panoramic rooms from standard at Encore. No difference in the rooms, just it was on the 53rd floor or something, and I got a south facing room, down the strip. So it should work the same at the Wynn I'd think.

Same here. 20 bux gave me a panoramic suite at the Encore. It was way worth it.

Yeah that's not going to happen, at least for a $20. Wynn/Encore has like 3 or 4 different kinds of rooms, and the ones above standard are like twice the size and cost far more. Like $1000 a night instead of $300. I'm not sure that a regular employee would even be able to make that kind of upgrade to a regular guest. Maybe if you've gambled a lot on your Wynn card?

I'm guessing the tip would only help you get a higher room or strip view

We're hoping for a suite since it's low season but by the sounds of it we shouldn't hold our breath! Hopefully they offer us a good nightly rate to upgrade to a suite....

They might give you a "penthouse suite"...Basically a room at the end of the halls that is a two bedroom but a bit bigger than the normal ones. You can't reserve them online or over the phone, you must upgrade to them when you show up...

Interesting fact about the PH towers...the top 4 floors of the building are empty and the elevators don't go up there. They were supposed to sell as condos, but no one bought...
