Price matching JC discount for Aria?

On Aria's website they state, "We promise that if you find a lower published rate on one of our rooms, we will not only match that rate, we will also give you an additional 10% off the lower rate. This promotional rate is available only when purchased at www.aria.com"

So my question is if I show them the JC discount price, do you think they'll match it?

Probably not because it is arranged "outside" the MGM group. You can give it a shot tho, but i don't think it will happen.

why not just book it through the jc price and cancel whatever you booked through the main site? that way you dont have to worry about if they will match or not and you know they wont say no when you arrive.

Based on the terms and conditions, it's probably unlikely. However, the cancellation policy for Aria is 48 hours prior to arrival. You just need to submit the claim within 24 hours of booking.

Seems like it wouldn't hurt to at least try booking with Aria, submit the claim, and cancel if they don't beat the rate. I'd read all the terms and conditions though to make sure what I wrote above is accurate.

Just as an FYI, you can also book Aria through Hyatt's website and their Best Rate Guarantee is 20% off. Their terms and conditions are pretty much the same so unlikely that they'll match. However, their guarantee has a bigger discount so you might want to try there instead.

Ok guys so I just went ahead and sent an email asking about this and they said:


Thank you for submitting your Best Rate Guarantee claim form to ARIA Room Reservations.

We will guarantee the lowest rate within 24 hour after you have booked a reservation directly with us, the reservation should meet the below criteria:

It has not been more than 24 hours since you booked your original reservation.
Packages and promotions excluded.
Rate must be for the same room type.
The rate must be available to the general public.
Qualified discount rates, such as AAA rates, AARP rates, convention rates, or direct marketing offers do not apply.
This guarantee does not apply to packaged rates with airfare on 3rd party websites.
This guarantee does not apply to ARIA Package Promotions on arialasvegas.com/promotions
The rate must be confirmed as available. One way to confirm availability is to provide a printout of the screen or a screenshot of the Web site with the lower rate that proves availability.
Availability of the Competing Rate must be proven by an acceptable form of evidence (i.e. the credit card information page that shows the rate, room type, dates, etc.).

I will definitely use the JC website if Aria doesn't go for the price match! But yeah if I can save an extra $80 through price match that would be awesome!
