  • Yes another suite question for a large group!

Sup Everyone. Great site. Lot of awesome info. Anyways, I gotta be the planner for a late August trip. Got a couple newbies and a few vets. Going to do the typical club one night, pool one day, etc but we are in our 30s and arent the glowstick type, so we dont need like a prime table at the club. Anywho, debating the hotel scene. Will be 10 of us and trying to balance a good hotel scene for the new guys with comfort and a big suite. Original plan had us doing this:

Cosmo - 3 city rooms on wed and thurs and then grabbing a the wraparound terrace suite on friday and saturday. So I know cosmo is the shit, but we'd be spread out a bit, no home base until the weekend and the cost is around 3500 all in. Not bad.

    vs

Elara (or another hotel w/ affordable bigger suites?). - we can do the 3 bed suite all 4 nights for 2700. No casino, no scene in hotel really? but close to everything and we can all chill together and have a suite.

    What would you guys recommend?

I don't understand the first option...3 city for 10 guys Weds & Thurs; then have a Wrap for Friday & Saturday for those same 10 guys? If that is what you're saying, that sounds like a terrible idea IMO.

10 guys in a wraparound is a tight fit. There is no comfort there!

        Sorry, awful explanation by me.

Wed and Thurs would be 3 city rooms each night for a total of 6 beds. Would be some doubling up, etc.

Fri and Sat would be 2 city rooms PLUS the wraparound terrace suite each night. So, essentially swapping a city room for a suite both Friday and Sat with the intent that the weekend will be the club/pool nights so suite would be a pregame/postgame spot and also some sleeping.

I'd go with Cosmo in that case. Wraparound is a nice suite and good home base for pregaming. Plus it will have the wow factor for the newbies.

Sounds like only $80 difference per person for Cosmo over Elara. In that case go with Cosmo hands down. It pretty much breaks down to $20 per person per night extra.

ya, it's kinda split down the middle w/ the group...some dont see the value in being at a Cosmo and would rather be in a huge suite where the vets know Cosmo is poppin..I've stayed at Elara..certainly not a bad spot..anyone have any other suite ideas aside from the 2 scenarios I listed?

If you double up on the beds and have one on the couch you should be able to make 2 rooms Wed/Thurs work - saving you about $500-600 and bringing down the cost a lot closer to what Elara would've been!

You might also want to look into the 2 bedroom suites at Mirage or two connecting Bella Suites at Palazzo.

I agree with this. Also look at the Renaissance/Lago Suite (in combination w/ the Bellas) at Venetian/Palazzo. Even though you can't book on the site if you call, you can still use any promo code they have on the site to save some $$$
