  • Cosmo Sandwich???

    Hey all,

Just wondering if people can share their Cosmo Sandwich success / failure stories and how friendly the place is for accepting sandwiches?

So basically I have a Wraparound Terrace Suite booked, that is not booked as fountain view, but I'm hoping to sandwich on check-in and get upgraded / moved to a high floor east tower fountain view room - I'm thinking a $100 for move and maybe resort fees taken off...

Is this realistic, what does a $100 normally get you?

    Cheers in advance
    Mr Boonch

They are extremely sandwich friendly. I wouldn't waste a $100 on it. You already have the room type that you want booked, I'd do a $20 and politely ask for east tower.

If we book the cheapest room (Queen Double city room) is an upgrade likely with a sandwich? happy to do $100 if it gets us a terrace 2 bed.

we are arriving lunchtime on a Thursday, before the crowds, will this help us out at all?

      any advice ?

Give it a try...I've been successful and I've also failed before...and $100 should do the trick...thats my normal routine too, book the cheapest, handshake for an upgrade.

Lately, they've had great promotions so I called and had the reservations clerk check for better deals, and I was able to guarantee the terrace with 2 queens for the same price etc etc....now I don't have to roll the dice at check in.

I've also asked to have the fridge items removed & the resort fees waived too.

Ditto what Rival said...definitely not worth 100, a 20 should get you the view and floor you want.

Is $100 likely to get us an upgrade from the standard city room to a 2 bed terrace?

if we hand over the $100 and specifically ask for a 2 bed terrace room, will we have a better chance of success?

It's worked for me before with a $50 sandwich but it really depends on the occupancy level of the hotel and if they even have the room available for them to upgrade you. Never hurts to try!

I'll definitely give it a go, we are arriving midday on thursday after 4th July weekend, i'm hoping its quiet enough to be able to negotiate an upgrade.

                  I only stayed there twice...

June 2013 - $50 sandwich got me a Terrace Studio upgraded to a Terrace 1 bedroom and waived resort fees.

February 2015 - $100 sandwich got me a Terrace Studio upgraded to a Wrap Around Suite
                  Next trip: ???

We have booked a 2 Queen Bed Terrace Studio. we are 2 guys sharing the room so we need 2 beds. Is it worth Sandwiching for a better room? eg; Does the wrap around terrace have 2 beds?

                      Naww only 1 bed.

The wraparound was supposed to be a premium condo, so it's SUPER nice. if one of you don't mind crashing on the sofa then it's worth it as you get alot of living space + mini kitchen with fridge, microwave etc.

Plus the wraparound terrace makes the standard terrace look tiny as hell.
