  • Help.. SLS or Vdara?

3 guys in a room, we are meeting our friends out there for a bachelor party. So i know we're going to be spending a lot on the clubs.. was gonna go cheaper on a room this trip. I have the vdara room booked at 189 a night, so about 488 total for the weekend. I can get one of the bigger rooms in SLS for around 2 something. Is it worth it? I've been before for LiFE. My friends are staying at Elara. This is may 29-31, i've checked and cant get anything better.

Vdara is much closer to your friends. SLS is nice but nothing really going on that far down the strip.

Vdara, with your friends at Elara it would be a major haul to meet up with them if you are at SLS. Whatever you save on SLS will partially be eaten up by extra cab costs and whatever left is not worth it because of the extra time you are loosing traveling back and forth.

Thanks everyone... No longer looking at SLS lol. I still have Vdara booked.. but now Palms Place at 115 a night is tempting

Palms Place was a no-brainer a few years ago, but now it's a bit less attractive. The cost is really low, it's nice having a full kitchen for a 4:30am snack, and if you can get an open balcony (not impossible, but definitely not easy) it really seems too good to be true. The issue is you can't walk anywhere, so you have to factor in extra transportation costs, Ghostbar is all that is left for nightlife, and their pool party is typically bringing in more B or C R&B/Rap talent or celebrity personalities these days. Really I think if you could get a guaranteed open balcony it's absolutely worth considering, but if you can't and it turns out to be locked it's just there teasing you and you are probably better off somewhere on the strip.
