Cosmo on the seriously cheap - price match on HotelWiz.com

Just scored a ridiculous deal at Cosmo through a Marriott price match on hotelwiz.com for mid September.

Not sure if hotelwiz.com rates are always this good, but I got a Terrace Suite price matched for $250 a night Thursday-Sunday and a Terrace 2 Queen for $225 a night also Thursday-Sunday.

For whatever reason HotelWiz didn't have discount rates on the Wraparound, but ever other room type was crazy cheap. And no pushback at all from Marriott on the price match.

Kind of off topic, but does anyone know if hotelwiz.com is trustworthy? i see a lot of much cheaper rooms on there for other hotels so i'm wondering if i should just book there

It looks way too good to be true. I did a basic Vegas search and Encore was listed at half the regular rate.

Cool. I tried this yesterday and it almost worked. Reading the article you shared, I booked a 1 King Terrace One Bedroom from Marriott, and submitted a claim for a cheaper rate. They wrote back saying that in order to get the price match plus 25% back, I would have had to book the cheapest rate possible. Im assuming they mean the cheapest room. While they didn't honor the full their full guarantee, they did price match the room and drop the price. Im still thinking of canceling and trying again.
My question is... Getting a deal like this, do you think it makes it more complicated to sandwich an upgrade when you arrive there?

To get the LNF, the room you book has to be the exact same room. Any add-ons or even a difference in description could nullify it. Keep trying.
