Getting free nights for friends

I want to know if anyone has tried this or if they see any flaws in the plan. I have comped nights coming for an upcoming trip at caesars. I since found out my parents will be out there same time and our trips overlap a few days. So I'm gonna book comped nights under my name at mirage. I'll check in to mirage with my dad as if it's my reservation and then I'll give them room keys as if it's all theirs. Since its two different properties mgm/Caesars can this be pulled off? I don't see how it wouldn't work

can you also put your dad's name down as staying in the room with you? That way it's "allowed" for him to be there

That's what I was thinking, I will have him next to me when checking in

That will definitely work. I've already had comped rooms at two different hotels on the same trip just because both of them came with freeplay and resort credit so I figured I might as well double dip and I've never had an issue.

The only downfall would be that if you're not gambling at the Mirage (since your parents will be the one staying there) you probably won't get another comp offer from them. If I were you though I'd just get a couple extra copies of my MLife card and give them to my mom and dad and tell them to use them whenever they gamble just so the Mirage at least thinks you're spending some money there.

I've done that a few times for my cousin just booked a room with my card and put his name under it. But yeah as suburbia said it may hurt your future comps if you don't play on the card while you're there.

Thanks guys, I'm not overly concerned with future comps at this time since I'm transitioning to total rewards and away from m life
