  • Need some advice - planning a trip June.25.2015-June.29-2015

    Hey all,

I've been to Vegas two to three times a year on average since 2007. However, this trip is a bit different. I'm going in a very large group. Around 6-8 individuals a mix of girls and guys. Everyone that we have talked to are willing to spend around $150-$250 a night on a room.

I've been scouring online for a good deal that would be comfortable for everyone. I'm looking at suites and adjoining rooms. Most individuals are Vegas Veterans but we have 2 individuals that have only gone once or not at all.

So far deals I have seen are the 2 bedroom suite at the Cosmo which averages $1000/night and it has 3 beds, (1king and 2 queens).

Looking at more options similar to that so we all in one space. Then again definitely open to having separate rooms too. Does anyone know where I can find adjoining rooms? Usually I go with guys or a smaller group so 1 room or suite would be fine. This time not so simple it seems.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

Almost every hotel in Las Vegas has adjoining rooms so if you end up going that route you'll have plenty of options available.

Otherwise hotels with large rooms with large numbers of beds are the Venetian/Palazzo, Elara and Signature at the MGM Grand. All of those have rooms with 3 or more beds available.

Some options are better than others when you are actually putting that many people in them. A lot of people recommend the Bella Suite at the Venetian with 2 queens and a pullout but that one only has one bathroom with one shower and one toilet which for 6 people is sometime inadequate. The Signature on the other hand has a 2 Bedroom Suite with 2 pullout couches with 3 bathrooms all of which have showers.

The added privacy options and the minimum of one bathroom per room sometimes makes adjoining rooms a more attractive option, but if you really want everyone in one place there are at least a few options available.

I've booked at the MGM a Skyline Terrace Suite with adjoining Grand Queen room.

Skyline Terrace Suite has a King Bed
The Grand Queen room has 2x double beds

The big outdoor terrace won me over:

If you are neither, then sit back, let the rich and/or good looking people sort their shit out, and then take their scraps. Booking early is not going to get you ahead of the rich and/or good looking people. Sucks unless you are rich or good looking. But that's what makes Vegas so great. It is completely transparent."

We've done Aria before and had 5 adjoining rooms.

Vdara 2 bedroom penthouse will be on the max side of the budget but you also get a queen sized pull out sofa in the living room so depending on sleeping arrangements you could maybe get 6 in that scenario. Other option at Vdara is going the one bedroom loft with the living room queen size pull out sofa so maybe 4 sleeping in that option and get 2 of these. Both of these options come with complimentary roundtrip limousine transportation to and from the airport.

        Hope this helps.

You could do Venetian/Palazzo Bella Suites adjoining. Each room has 2 queens and 1 pullout, so with 2 adjoining rooms you would have 6 beds and 2 bathrooms. Best bang for the buck IMO

Elara 2bedroom suite is also a good option but has only 3 beds/2 baths i believe.

We had a group of 12 and had 2 adjoining rooms at the Venetian. We all had a place to sleep and surprisingly were very comfortable.

Agreed that most bang for your buck will be the Venetian/Palazzo suites, but if you feel comfortable with spending the money, definitely look into that Cosmo room. I stayed in one for four nights once with a group of seven people (mixed group), and it was great. We rotated dudes on the couch, and it was plenty comfortable.

What is your group doing for pools and clubs? A bunch of us will be there then and can split if interested...

We packed a bunch of guys into the MGM sig before. Tons of floor space too for the tough guys that don't mind crashing there. Three bathrooms AND full kitchen is nice too!
