  • Cheapest way to book a room: Tripadvisor, Hotel Website, or Host?

Looking into booking rooms at the Cosmo for 10 guys for a Bachelor party!

Wraparound Terrace Suite and multiple Terrace Studio Two Queens
(if you have a better hotel recommendation, I'm open for suggestions!)

Tripadvisor seems to be the cheapest rate compared to the hotel website, but how do I ensure getting adjacent rooms? Also, would it be cheaper to go through a host? I don't have a Players Card.

Thanks for any suggestions you have!

For cosmo you can try booking through Mariott and doing the Look No Further price match, where they'll price match the cheaper price you find and give an additional 25% off.

Sometimes when you book on 3rd party sites they dont include resort fees which makes it look cheaper than booking direct.

Also another hotel I would recommend is getting connecting Bella Suites at Venetian/Palazzo every room there is a suite and you can have 2 queens along with a pull out sofa in the living area.

If you choose Cosmo (I am a huge Cosmo fan) then I suggest in order:

      1. Bungalow (which as 1 king bed) and then separate city rooms (each city room has 2 beds) - This is your most expensive option.
      2. Wrap around terrace suite (which has 1 king bed) and adjoining terrace one bedroom (which has 1 king bed). Book those rooms separately then call the Cosmo and ask to make those adjoining. Cosmo won't guaranty that they will be adjoining but Cosmo will note it on your reservation. I think I was 5 for 5 in getting adjoining. Those two rooms together gets you 1800 square feet. You can also request a rollaway bed for each room. Those are $30/each/night. Or at least that's what they cost 2 years ago. Then do the city rooms for the remainder of the beds. I don't think you need to go nicer on the sleeping rooms. You will spend your time together in the wrap around. That's your hang out area.

Thanks! I think I'll choose option 2. Will look at the 25% off Marriott thread too.

This was my strategy when checking in. Others may say I was too cautious but I didn't want to risk any problems.

          1. After you check in call and ask for the Wrap Around and Terrace One Bedroom to be adjoining and also ask for the city rooms to be on the same floor.

          2. I would arrive early in the day. I figured the later I arrived the more rooms would be assigned.

          3. I always tip the receptionist $50. Most people do $20 and I wanted to distinguish myself. 10 guys, $50, is $5 a guy. So not a big deal. When I checked in I would not hand the receptionist the $50 upfront. I would act a little disorganized and put my phone, wallet and $50 bill on the counter so the receptionist could see. Then I would ask for what I want.

          4. If you are going during pool season then I suggest you request (in addition to the adjoining rooms and rooms on the same floor) the East tower. The East tower has an elevator bank that goes right down to the pool (technically to an elevator lobby 30 feet from the pool). Also ask for rooms facing the strip. That is all a lot to ask for but you may get all of those requests.
