Tropicana hotel opinion

2 Irish guys age 23 staying there next June, what's your opinion? We got it and flights cheap enough.

Also, can you name some of the non tier 1 clubs like TAO and the bank. We will visit them but we are not wealthy and would like to visit cheaper smaller..normal clubs too. Any advice would be appreciated

Can you still change your hotel or is it part of the package?

There are many better hotels, and can be had for cheap as well. However as far as a place to crash for a couple hours each morning, it will get the job done.

Cover at clubs and buying drinks at the bar are generally the same price no matter where you go in Vegas, so I wouldn't automatically stay from high end tier1 spots!

As far as tropicana, if you're getting a good deal then stick with it. it's a little far for my tastes, if I was looking for a budget hotel..i rather be at Harrahs or Flamingo for it's location

we can change hotels. i just rang my travel agent there. everywhere i look online, i usually see FLAMINGO in the mix in terms of a young party vibe with a better location than the tropicana

should we go with the flamingo?...costs around 50 euro LESS too...more money to lose at the casinos

Not really a party vibe haha but In terms of non-dayclub pools, Flamingo has one of the best hotel pools in Vegas.

I'd choose Flamingo over Tropicana simply because it's location is pretty much in the middle of the Strip and everything is within walking distance.

I'd also choose Flamingo over Tropicana, all else being equal. If Flamingo is cheaper than Tropicana, i'd do that for sure. Better location mid strip, in my opinion.

Flamingo has a great location, nice pool, and that's about it. With that being said, if you're on a budget and just need a place to sleep and shower. It gets the job done.

The casino is outdated, and it's cliente is mostly older folks and senior citizens lol.

Flamingo and Trop are about the same in terms of hotel quality. However, the Flamingo has a better location, very central to the main strip. I've done the $20 trick at both those hotels and got a nice upgrade. At the Trop I was upgraded to the 2-story penthouse suite. Either hotel is fine, but if you're in and out often, I'd pick the Flamingo.
