Treasure Island Questions

Since I waited until the last minute, I have been priced out of the Venetian with the rest of my crew for 9/12-9/14 (fight weekend). Treasure Island is priced well and right across the street from the Venetian. I plan on getting a Deluxe Room.

Questions:

1) Is TI sandwich friendly? If so, how much should I sandwich and what should I try and get.
2) How are the rooms in terms of size and quality? I'm not expecting the Wynn, but hopefully it is better than The Quad!

When I went in May I tried to be very friendly when checking in and asked if there were any "free suites" available. She laughed and said no but she can upgrade me to a strip view for free. I didn't try a sandwich but I have a feeling it would work.

The hotel overall isn't bad. The rooms are pretty good i didn't have any complaints. The pool was actually pretty good too. Can't speak of the restaurants or bars though. Best thing about TI is the price and it's location. It's right across from the Venetian/palazzo and close to the clubs at Wynn and Encore. TI doesn't have that "wow" factor but its a good place to crash in vegas.
