So heading into Vegas 9/18 - 9/21 and have reserved a 1 bed loft suite. Was trying for Aria but for some reason Thurs 9/18 the complete Hotel is sold out. Anybody know why? Seems like Vdara is pretty much right beside Aria. When I asked the girl making my reservation if you could use the Aria property (pool etc) she seemed a little gun-shy to say yes. How's the seen at Vdara? Last time out stayed at the Cosmo but we don't want to spend the money to get a suite. Suites look awesome at Vdara and are very responsible. Any thoughts?
Help! How's Vdara??

IHeartRadio music festival is 9/19 and 9/20, so a bunch of people might be heading in the night before.
There isn't really a "scene" at Vdara. Vdara doesn't have a casino, there is no smoking throughout the property, and the only food option is a small café-type store in the lobby. If you don't care about any of those things, the rooms themselves are pretty solid.
Aria is also just steps away, and the nice part is that Vdara has its own taxi line. If you need to cab it anywhere you don't have to deal with the massive lines you normally would deal with at the casino hotels.

My wife and parents loved Vdara. Especially because the rooms were very nice and it was quiet compared to the normal hotel and casino. Was nice that it was directly connected to Bellagio or just a minute walk to Aria.
I prefer to be in the mix so I choose Aria over it. But you won't go wrong with Vdara. had a great time chilling at the pool there drinking and relaxing in the pool

I've stayed at Vdara the past two summers. Enjoyed my stay there much more last year than this year. Most of the issues I dealt with were housekeeping-related this time around. For example, the mini-fridge in the Deluxe Suite I stayed wasn't cleaned out and had leftovers in it from a previous guest.

I've stayed at Vdara and will be staying at Aria this go around.
Here's my take: rooms are awesome, but some are better than others. We got a great room with a divider between the kitchenette area and the main loving room, some rooms don't have this. We also got view of the Bellagio fountains. No, I didn't do the $20 trick for an upgrade. Rooms are top notch.
I found the hotel a bit sterile. The ultra modern decor just didn't do it for me, and because there is no casino, it lacked a 'vibe'.
The location is just slightly behind the Aria, and easily accessible via Aria and the Bellagio. I seem to recall getting tangled up in Monte Carlo too. Center of the strip, so good access to everything.
The pool area is ok. Just ok. Again, very sterile and ultra modern.
Vdara is super cheap, so at least you won't be paying an arm and a leg for it. According to this source, the average price on Priceline is around $110... cheaper midweek but more expensive on weekends.
If you're okay partying or gambling away from your hotel, you'll enjoy the Vdara. Luckily, you won't have too far to stumble to get back to your room when the night is done.

Me and my husband loved Vdara. We had a view and the pool was cool too. We easily walked to Aria, Cosmo and Bellagio. They have a tram that will take you there too. Just know that the Vdara is ALL SUITE so that's a king bed only. What we liked most was getting away from the "scene" bc it kept us from gambling a lot lolLVH June '08
