I just tried a $50 sandwich on a Sat at 1030am. Staying two nights in the bottom level King room. Asked for any comp upgrades, waive resort fees or additional resort credit. The hotel was sold out Sat, so no upgrades and told me she couldn't waive any fees or add credit. Gave me the $50 back. I even used the anniversary line, and she had some chocolate strawberries sent up. Tipped her $10 for trying. Oh well.
Been to Vegas too many times to count, partied in too many pools and clubs to track, but when you live so close, why wouldn't you?

So I completely forgot to bring 2 $100 bills for check in to the Aria so I had to stop at an ATM Machine to get the Sandwich. Unfortunately (Or Fortunately) they only gave out $20's. So I went up to the Aria check in desk...Sandwiched 10 $20 bills. Asked if they had any upgrades. Lady said "hold on sir"....clickety clack on the computer...."Sorry sir..you already have a strip view but I could upgrade you to a corner suite for $200 more a night." I said "no thanks", she gave me my Sandwich back and I checked in to my room. Fail. Fail. FAIL.

Damn, with a 200 dollar sandwich, I'd they turned that down there's no hope, that's alotof cheese for a few minutes work. Note to self from everybody ele's experience Aria is off the list for even trying. Sucks.

You gotta be kidding me. That's crazy they didn't take it, makes me feel super uneasy for LDW 8/30 check in :-/

Yeah. I think i'm done with staying at the Aria. I think it's going to be Cosmopolitan or Planet Hollywood next time for me. More successful handshakes and a better crowd in the casino.

Just finished reading through these posts in preparation for my arrival in 6 nights. Bummer, looks like it isn't even worth the effort to try. I am going mid-week, and I will ask for a complimentary upgrade, but it seems like they're pretty much by the book. Thanks for all the posts everyone.

This is second hand but my buddy checked in today to Aria and gave a $40 sandwich. He said he got a room upgrade and various coupons like 2 for 1 drinks. Also they brought up chocolate covered strawberries for him and his lady. I'm not sure what room he originally had booked but I'm guessing the most basic offering.
This was a Wednesday through Friday.

Had standard king room booked, told them was my anniversary, gave me city view 29th floor. I still tipped $20 just for good karma, but don't think was necessary. Get the vibe Aria doesn't do much in that department. Lady said they would send up cookies and never did. Asked concierge if she had any good coupons or decent stuff gave me a generic book. However, had shit service at Javiers, let concierge know and they basically said okay you can talk to Food and Bev manager if you want he will be here in 15-20mins. I responded with would you rather have me standing around in the lobby unhappy waiting for this guy to show up, or gambling my money on your tables? She asked for my number and said she would have someone call me. Sure enough, 15mins later she called and said she applied a $75 credit to my account. So kudos for that...
