Highly recommend the MGM for your purposes. It's such a huge place that you will almost never have to worry about security and noise complaints unless your really just getting rediculously rowdy and the rooms are indeed large. I never tried to fit 10-15 people on a room to sleep in Vegas but having stayed there if people are cool with being a little uncomfortable I am sure you could make it work."If you have to ask you probably can't do it"

Some great info in this thread. I love staying in nice hotels and my friends and I really like trying to turn our room into a controlled rager.Originally posted by Brooklyn Marc View PostHighly recommend the MGM for your purposes. I have heard stories about hotel staff reporting back on the alcohol/sleeping situation and the name on the room getting docked more $. MGM does sound solid. I like how nice the Aria rooms are but I think getting higher tier MGM will work in the future.
I need to step foot in one of those skyline rooms and hear what kind of sound suppression it has. Last thing I want is some old guy across the hall complaining and the entire night getting shut down.
I will be running another mega hotel party in oct/nov and think I will be looking at the MGM skyline terrace/marquee suite as our next location.
I just know for a 100% fact that the Aria executive one works well. Did it in March flawlessly. I am pushing my limits at the end of July a bit but hopefully i can keep the rager contained to the room
Thanks for the continued responses guys!"The man on the top of the mountain didn't fall there"

That actually happened in the MGM Skylofts when I was there with a buddy of mine and a bunch of our friends. It was a few years ago so I don't quite remember all the details, but after we checked out and they cleaned the room and found tons of empty liquor bottles and Red Bull cans they tried to charge him a ton of extra money. He just complained though and didn't have to pay it, but at the time he was also spending a pretty ridiculous amount of money there gambling on a regular basis so maybe that played a part in them letting him off the hook.Originally posted by Kinar100 View PostSome great info in this thread. Yup! Skylofts or the marquee/terrace are going to be my next choices for rooms. I figure I will just bring a large luggage bag to begin with and pack all the bottles we use in there then empty them. Or find out a large trashcan somewhere lol.Originally posted by HeySuburbia View PostThat actually happened in the MGM Skylofts when I was there with a buddy of mine and a bunch of our friends. Careful cleaning and packing each morning before we head out will help a lot too."The man on the top of the mountain didn't fall there"

Tip tip tip.... I can not tell you guys how important it is to tip hard to the person cleaning your room. If you do some damage, tip heavy and nothing will happen. I know my first night in the room (larger rooms) I'll tip a $20 to the person cleaning the room. Never have they said a word and I've left some rooms pretty messed up before, but I will still organize my bottles into one spot to make it easy for them to toss stuff out.

Cle's absolutely right. Tipping is so so important. I stayed in a 2 bed Skyloft for a night with a few friends back in July 2012. Granted my friend's dad was somewhat of a whale in the gambling world so everything was comped anyway, but I personally made sure to tip the butler as soon as we arrived. Total professional when required but also young and cool enough to understand Vegas is Vegas. He would let himself in and out and would even arrange our bottles neatly without saying a word.
In saying that though I don't think it would be easy to bring up a party to the room. Skylofts are on a separate level with a manned desk.

We did tip and it still happened, and it was definitely easy for them to toss the stuff out when we left.Originally posted by Cle View PostTip tip tip.... I plan to have 20+ people in the room with 10+ sleeping there.
We will be bringing lots of our own alcohol to the room and music will be blasting.
I will probably be tipping $20-40 a day to hopefully secure our privacy.
I will though keep the room as spotless as possible with all the luggage from everyone stored in a closet or neatly in a corner. I want to make it as easy on the staff as possible. It's a small price to pay for keeping the party able to continue and hopefully escalate!
I will probably keep 2-3 room keys (2 at a minimum) and do most of the getting of people from downstairs. I don't think there will be an issue with front podium guy at Aria as he doesn't seem to really do much and its always bustling at night on weekends.
Any other tips are great. Keep em coming!"The man on the top of the mountain didn't fall there"

Checked some vids for both the Skyline Marquee and Skyline Terrace and WOW both look amazing. The terrace is key though and will be my next attempt.
Aria still has a solid room. The penthouses don't look like anything special and i bet the sky suites are too pricey + come with spies.
I'd like to check something at Mandalay/Mirage but then again, i need to have tons of people in the room and visibly walking there at times. MGM seems like it might not care too much as long as i respect the rules*
*i will try to respect most lol*"The man on the top of the mountain didn't fall there"

Nice link - would be good if they let you search based on price or amenitiesOriginally posted by ENC012E View PostEastCoast: "I will preach. Vegas is easy. So easy. Either be rich or good looking (or mooch off someone who is one of those). If you are neither, then sit back, let the rich and/or good looking people sort their shit out, and then take their scraps. Booking early is not going to get you ahead of the rich and/or good looking people. Sucks unless you are rich or good looking. But that's what makes Vegas so great. It is completely transparent."

I am going with Skyline in November. Went Executive again in July and it went well. No issues and slept a good 14 people in the room. I am going to be booking a queen room adjacent to the skyline to maximize room."The man on the top of the mountain didn't fall there"
