  • Staying at Aria & Hard Rock....

I have never stayed at either one of these spots, but I got good deals thanks to Groupon (Hard Rock) and MyVegas comps (Aria).
Does anyone have any advice, hidden gems, secrets or good restaurants I need to try out?

At Hard Rock, I am a huge fan of Nobu. It's a spectacular sushi restaurant. Try to get to the sushi bar and just let the chef surprise you. It'll be awesome.

Culinary dropout and Pink Taco are usually crowd favorites as well.

I am also a big fan of the prime rib sandwich at Lucky's 24/7. It's around $14 but is huge, comes with fries and is the perfect amount of food to sock away when majorly inebriated.

Ask about the off menu prime rib too. Really good.
Been to Vegas too many times to count, partied in too many pools and clubs to track, but when you live so close, why wouldn't you?

Stayed in April at HRH and Pink Taco's happy hour was very solid. Culinary Drop Out's pretzel bits are a great filler while drinking.

Try to stay off the first 3 floors of HRH as they power spray the pool area starting around 7:30-8 AM and you'll hear it. If you are in the casino tower ask for the Paradise Tower with a pool view. People have said it's the same price and Paradise is a newer tower. Grabbed one on the 7th floor while there.

I do know they have the $7.77 gambler's special (steak, shrimp, mashed potatoes and a salad).

Thanks. The happy hour and pretzel bites sound like a winner.

Check out the Double Down Saloon. Probably walking distance.

The Circle bar in the middle of the casino floor is pretty interesting too, if you're with a really small group. It's just a small circular bartop, but, due to the acoustics of the dome above, you can hear conversations from those directly opposite you. It was pretty funny how we stumbled on to it. My wife and I ended up talking to a single woman next to us, and after a while, we all noticed the the topic of conversation being (what we thought was) pumped in through speakers was whether or not some couple was talking to a hooker. It went on, and on and on, and was pretty explicit. Once we decided it was more than coincidence, we asked the bartender. He was straight up, "yeah, you can hear everything across from you. Makes for some interesting situations " We ended up telling the guys who we overheard about it, and having a pretty good laugh.
