Anyway to Guarantee Connecting Rooms?

Planning out trip over LDW with a pretty big group. Normally we do the Cosmp Wrap, but we want to change it up. What's the procedure for trying to get 2 rooms side-by-side at lets say Encore for example? At the very least, we'd want the same floor.

Check in as early as possible and tell them you want connected rooms. If possible I don't see why they wouldn't oblige. They may tell you to come back in an hour or so to get room ready.

We just booked connected Bella Suite at The Venetian:

"Thank you for contacting The Venetian and Palazzo Resort Hotel Casino. In regards to your email, we offer guaranteed connecting suites at a fee of $10.00 plus 12% tax per suite per night and is collected at the time of check-in. Please advise if this is something you wish to guarantee. We look forward to hearing from you soon. Thank you."

We got an additional reservation number for each room (Connection guarantee).

I can only say for Aria and PH we called 2 days ahead and requested it since we had 8 and 6 rooms for these trips. Had to get everyone's confirmation numbers and give it to the person over the phone but went smooth and we were all connected.

They offer connecting suites at the MGM Signature Towers. Those rooms include an additional kitchen + living room in between the rooms.

For those of you staying at Cosmo, I have asked for connecting rooms a few times and it has always been honored. Three key things I would suggest:

1. Book directly with the hotel and ask for connecting rooms at the time of booking.
2. After booking, call back and speak to someone else (or look up your reservation online) and confirm that one of your rooms has the word 'connector' in the room description
3. Call the day before checkin and reconfirm that they have you requested for a connecting room.

Do not book through Marriott. They will screw this up, I promise you.

Cosmo reservations is not able to amend reservations made with Marriott so you're just going to make life hard on yourself if you do this.
