Mandalay Bay

We are thinking about switching up hotels for our next girls weekend. Mandalay was suggested and it looks amazing from what I can see. My only concern is that its kinda far out and I've never been there because of this. Anyone stayed there and have an opinion?

depends what other activities you have planned- where they are located.
All the properties are nice and you can have fun just staying there but so many choices in vegas

pool, club.. we usually go to the town square mall off the strip.

The pool there is awesome.
You have LIGHT which is more than awesome.
And you are a short walk to wet republic/hak

I've made entire trips out of just Mandalay/Mgm area and then entire trips out of wynn/encore area.

Once booked a room at Mandalay and got upgraded to THEhotel. Loved it! There is something about the Mandalay property I really love... probably because it was my first Vegas experience. I've never felt that I'm too far off. Only downside when I stayed there: the regular hotel pool was crowded with kids. Back then that wave pool was really popular lol Shouldn't be an issue nowadays because you'll be at daylight. I'd stay there again anyday.

I have stayed a Mandalay twice; I found it somewhat boring, lots of kids and food options were not great. This was before light opened but other than for business I will not go back.
