Cosmopolitan Bungalow Help

Thinking of renting the Cosmopolitan Bungalow for my bachelor party. Reviewing the terms and conditions and it's restricting what I want to do in the room. How is it enforced? Does the in-suite butler enforce it?

For example, maximum number of guest is 15 people. If we bring girls to the room and it pushes the limit to over 15 do we get reported?

There is a restriction on brining outside food and drinks alcohol into the room. How is that enforced. For example, I want to have a scotch bar in the upstairs patio. I plan on bringing high end small batch scotch. If it's not available at Cosmo do I have to pay a corkage fee and gratuity?

I guess my question is how is it enforced. Does the in-suite butler walk around and make sure I don't break the rules or is he just making sure everything is clean and my experience is lovely. Do I just have to tip him more to keep him quiet. If so how much?

I am highly interested in this as well (and any other high end room you can rent where it warrants throwing a party for that range)

I had the Executive Hospitality Suite at Aria for a party and it worked perfectly. Not as lavish as a bungalow though.

It's a tough call.

Looking at skylofts @ mgm they have very similar rules. I believe they are there just to be there. They need rules and they have to be visible. How strict they are? Need some answers from guys that have thrown parties in these bigger rooms.

I'd call them, and let them know what you are looking for. If you're getting that room I'm sure they'll find a way to work with you. Those outside food rules are actually for every room at Cosmo, hell, almost every hotel on the strip has that rule and no one really enforces it.

ok thanks. Yeah, I guess those rules are typical rules at the cosmo. I have brought a number of handles and left it in the open at the Cosmo rooms and never had an issue in the past. Hopefully they are as lax enforcing that in those rooms as they are at the Bungalow.

I've stayed in a skyloft before, and had similar concerns prior to staying there. We had a load of cases and bottles around the loft at all times whilst we there there, and noone said a thing to us. The skyloft butlers come and go as they please basically, so would have been fully aware of what was going on.

I've had some big parties in some of the large suites on the strip, including outside food and liquor, 30+ people and a DJ. Never once had a problem. However, I did have to tip the bellman extra for hauling all the speakers, lights and DJ equipment to the room and housekeeping got quite a tip too - since the mess was significant and we had moved all the furniture. I say "ask for forgiveness not permission".

Which suites do you think suited your needs the best?

I am looking at throwing regular events in suites and ive done as much research as possible but you really cant nail them down until you complete a successful event in one.

I used the Executive Hospitality Suite in Aria in March and it was pretty well suited. I had maybe 20 people in it with very loud music and had no issues. Soundproofing was great and its at the end of the hall.

The butler isn't going to enforce anything. I stayed in a penthouse once and we had our own bottles of liquor strewn about. The butler would come in and even arrange them while cleaning up and restocking the kitchen. I'm pretty sure some of those rules are in place to handle people who are just being dicks, and it gives Cosmo a reason to go after you. If you're nice, and tip the butler on his first trip, you'll be fine.

Also, if you don't mind me asking, how much do those bungalows run? I've seen numbers all over the place.

Doing Saturday and Sunday. Hoping to try to check in early Saturday. I think the rates for Summer are more expensive than rates for Winter because of the day party.

One other question. Check in time, do you think a decent size tip will let me into the room earlier if it is ready?

I know it's summer, so the weekend prices make sense, but damn, that is quite the drop-off from Saturday to Sunday lol.

I should add, they really wait on you hand and foot in the penthouses (24/7 on call service), so I assume the bungalows would be no different. You can even ask them to go on food runs anywhere in town, and they'll do it (at least, they did for us). You gotta pay, and tip well, but you don't have to leave your room.

Yea that's very surprising to me, too! OP, were you quoted that on a particular weekend you're looking at or did they give you that as a general rate during the summer?

It is for a particular weekend in August. I'm looking pretty far ahead.

We brought liquor in and they didn't seem to care at all. Heck they helped us unload it. We didn't bring kegs or anything but probably 10 1.5s of various kinds of liquor.

The butler (Jersey is awesome) didn't seem to care how many people we had in there. He was there to help us, not as some kind of watchguard. One night he even had several roll away beds brought in for us. We tipped him when we arrived and when we left. I really don't recally how much but ballpark is probably 500-1000. It was absolutely money well spent though. The work he did for us was greatness.

This was bungalow #1 which is the big one, so they might look at the smaller ones different.

It was easily the most fun room I have stayed in. The easy access to Marquee day and night is priceless.

And that room probably ran 7-10k for a friday/satruday?
