Rio or PH during MDW?

It's just my GF and I over MDW and I am split between Rio and PH. We are in are early 30's. We will probably go to at least 1 pool party somewhere else, but want a good hotel pool too. I have been to PH before, and if I remember right it was kind of small and was packed easily. Also, I will be playing craps, a few slots, and she will be playing blackjack, I am not concern with which one has a better casino, but just throwing it out there.

PH:

Pros:
Pool Parties
On the Strip

Cons:
$250 more for the weekend
Smaller pools
Probably more crowded

Rio
Pros:
Cheaper
Looks like large pools
Won't be too crowded
I like the looks of Rio's pool better.

Cons:
Off strip
Taxi/shuttle $$, getting one when needed that weekend

Rio runs a shuttle between Harrahs/Paris/Ballys every half hour based on using it last summer.

Weekdays 10-am to midnight, Fri and weekend 10am to 1 am.

Save the money and stay at Rio and reduce the cab fares using the shuttle.

I would just call to make sure with Rio as this was last summer. According to link still running.
