$100 sandwich at Planet Hollywood - Wednesday checkin to Easter Sunday

Assuming Easter weekend isnt some crazy party weekend in Vegas.. how far do you think a $100 sandwich would get us.

We have 4 guys total with 2 queen rooms under different reservations. So me and the other reservation guy are gonna walk up and try to check in at the same time and hand a $100 sandwich. Do you think this could get us upgraded to some sort of 2 bedroom suite or is that too far of a jump?

If they come back and say i can only upgrade you to a larger room facing the strip or something is it rude to ask for some of the money back? Thanks!

My experience has been more of a view than room upgrade. I think the hosts keep the suites for the bigger player....

The slightly upgraded rooms aren't much of an upgrade--about 100 more sq feet, bigger tub, and a view. I wouldnt even bother risking the chance of not getting the 100 back for that since the standard hollywood hip rooms are decentish anyway

Also, seems like easter is fairly popping, prices are high everywhere and a lot of talent in town then

Thanks... bump again.. i checked that $20 trick website and it says some people have upgraded from bottom of the line rooms to some suites..

Im gonna try it.. its not like the check in person can keep the money. If he cant upgrade us or says all i can upgrade you to is a strip facing room then ill just ask for change and give him $20 per room

Last year I did a $50 sandwhich at PH upgraded 3 Queen Hollywood Hip to 3 Fountain Resort Rooms and he also waived the resort fee. iHeart Music festival weekend. So not a huge upgrade but worth the $50. Go for it!

He slipped the money into his pocket pretty fast after he took it out of the sandwhich I doubt you would have a chance to get it back. I would consider it a bad bet rather then ask for it back.

Sorry for the delay. THIS WORKED OUT HUGE!!!!!!!!!! - We got a 2 bedroom suite - Huge living room, huge jacuzzi tub, bar, kitchen table, etc. etc - It had 1 king bed and a connecting room with 2 queens. Also gave us a roll away bed for free! Highly recommend it. About to do a $80 upgrade at venetian in April and hoping for a 2 bedroom suite again

This gives me high hopes bc Im staying at the Linq Easter Weekend/Bday Trip... They don't have massive suites but I would like a room upgrade.... Hopefully $20 does the trick... We got the room free so i really wouldnt care if it didnt work...It didnt work very well at Monte Carlo last April...She only gave us free drink coupons lol

I am hoping to do this trick at Vdara to get an upraded room. Will be there the same easter weekend/bday trip/anniversary trip lol. curious did you try the sandwich on any of your trips to vdara?

I stayed at Planet Hollywood Wed-Fri (2/10 - 2/12) and used a $20 sandwich. I wasn't looking for a big upgrade since it was just me but I was upgraded from to lowest tier room to the highest room on the wing with a view of the fountains.

I did at Vdara MDW 2014 and it didn't work probably bc it was a holiday. It may only help you get a fountain view vs a city view or a parlor suite vs a deluxe suite.... I don't see them giving you a corner suite or anything like that. But that corner suite was nice AF when I went back in April 2015 but it was shared with me and 2 of my cousins to help with cost. Oh and be sure to get a spa pass for a day...It is worth it..Jacuzzi, steam room, teas, and really nice robes lol
