  • How far can a $50 Sandwich go @ Aria?

Staying in a Deluxe Room (2 Queens) at Aria for 8 nights and wondered how far a $50 Sandwich could go?

I'm not fussed for a room upgrade as such as the main concern is still having two separate beds and I don't envisage any of the time in the room will be spent with the curtains open so view is also irrelevant. So that pretty much leaves me with trying to get the Resort Fees waived and/or Dining Credit, so how much do you think I should be aiming for with $50?

Total Resort Fees would rack up to $200 for the whole stay so is asking for this waived plus dining credit a step to far? Would increasing this to $100 help? I just want to make sure my expectations are reasonable so I've got a higher probability of something as opposed to seeing the crisp folded bill being politely returned in my direction.
An 8,000 mile journey is always worth it when it ends in Vegas!

I tried a $20 sandwich a week ago staying on a Sunday and Monday night and was told by the agent we can't accept that or do anything. The managers are right behind the check in and seem to be watching all the time.

Hopefully thats a different story when I stay there, we booked on hotwire and really need two beds (two dudes), Usually I do this at venetian, book on hotwire/priceline for a good deal, sandwich $20 at check in and get a bella 2 queens free (usually $20-30 a night upgrade) hoping to do the same at Aria.

I've always had worse luck doing it when I booked through a site like Hotwire of Expedia than just directly through the hotel, but again, it all depends on who you get when you check in and more importantly, how crowded the hotel is. I'd say that since you know what you want you'd have a pretty good shot though. Asking for a room with two beds is a lot more reasonable than people thinking they're going to slip the front desk person $20 and get all their resort fees waved plus tons of dining credit.

Yeah, I called them $30/night for two queen upgrade... I am going to hold off for now I would much rather help out a front desk agent with 20-50$ than pad mgm's bottom line. The hotel doesn't seem that busy, regular rates were only $164/194 for king/2queens, we got about $45 less than that though.
