Rate explosion MGM September

just checked the rates for september for the MGM and saw a rate explosion on the weekend of 12th and 13th of september, as well as for the ongoing week
even during the week (14th to 16th) the average rate is higher than for example on LDW

any ideas what is going on there? i saw mexican independence week and some conventions listed, but none of them seem to affect any other hotel rates...

what about the upcoming week? mexican independence week has almost no effect on the other hotel rates as far as i saw
