Here's whats going on. I am the best man for a bachelor party staying from Aug 22nd to the 25th. I have reserved a MGM Grand Skyline Marquee Suite and also requested to have the pool table in the room. Hopefully they can accommodate since I am booking so far in advance. We are expecting roughly 8 to 12 guys in our party. My question is will this suite be able to handle all of our group and also is this the type of suite to reserve for a bachelor party. (Ex HR Suite, Palms Suite). Hopefully someone has some feedback on the room. We also plan on getting BS at Hakkasan Sat night and maybe Cabana/BS at WR if they have it on Sundays. I'm not sure if we would be able to get cheaper rates since we plan on staying within our casino mainly. Any feedback or advice would be great and also appreciated.

My advice - make sure you book your room through MGM rather than MLife to reduce (but not eliminate) the chances you will get bumped to a lesser suite. Also book a suite in another hotel as a back-up plan them call MGM right before the cancellation deadline of the back-up suite to confirm you still have the Marquee Suite. Can you do Wet on Saturday? Sunday you will want to do MDC or EBC. Hakk for bottle service is fantastic (I love that club) but you want to be in the main room which will cost a minimum all in of $7,500-$8,000.

Thank for the advice and I will start looking for another suite. Any ideas for a similar suite and cost? We're paying $2200 all in for all 3 night. So WR would be better on Sat? Would it be better than MDC or EBC on a Sunday? I ask so we can choose one or the other. I know with this group of guys that min will be out of reach for sure. Any other ideas?

I will defer to others for suite ideas. My group of 6 usually stays in a Cosmo wrap around terrace suite with adjoining one bedroom terrace suite. But there are plenty of threads on here about the same topic. I suggest you scroll through the last 20 or so pages on this forum and look for similar questions on thread topics.Originally posted by WhoDat09 View PostThank for the advice and I will start looking for another suite. I have not been to Wet on a Sunday. The consensus on this forum is that the best pool parties on Sunday are MDC (especially if Kaskade is playing) and EBC. But I will let others who have been to Wet on Sunday chime in. I am also intrigued by Daylight but will wait and see.
I think there are two questions that will determine your club options:
1. how many days and nights
2. what is your total club/pool party budget
Third would be what sort of music do you want but my suggestion is go where the girls are.

Have you looked into the Elara? They have 2-4 bedroom suites that are pretty awesome, they also comes with full kitchens and are more than big enough for a large group. They are also pretty reasonably priced. It's a little further back off the strip (5-10 min walk through the Planet Hollywood Mall), but for the size of the room it is a really good value.

I haven't checked the Elara yet. I think there's a member on here who get's great rates for the Elara. We plan on heading to a club on Sat night and probably either MDC or EBC on Sunday. We could maybe stay only 2 nights at MGM and then check in to a suite at the Wynn for Sunday night. If we do stay at the Wynn we could maybe hit a club in the Wynn If I had to guess I would say $200 a person per event. Thanks for all the feedback.

I've had friends that stayed at Elara...awesome rooms and rates, but security is quick to pull the trigger if someone says you are being too loud or playing music too loudly. I think it's a time share hotel as well so there are guests there that aren't too keen to the idea of having a loud and wild time.September 2010-Aria

I haven't stayed in the Skyline Marquee Suite, but stayed in one of the Skyline Terrace Suites at MGM before they remodeled them and it was pretty nice back then, and looking at the pictures of what they look like now after the remodel they look insane.
If you're set on doing Hakkasan and Wet Republic you might as well stay at MGM. Sure, you might be able to get a little better deal somewhere else, but is it really worth the trouble of having to travel back and forth? Maybe if you can save a ton of money it might be, but if the costs are comparable you might as well just stay at MGM.

Why do you think he would get bumped if booking through Mlife versus directly with MGM. He will lose that big rate hit going through MGM instead of MLife won't he?Originally posted by BigPimp View PostMy advice - make sure you book your room through MGM rather than MLife to reduce (but not eliminate) the chances you will get bumped to a lesser suite.
