  • Cosmo 2 Bedroom City Suite and Above - Any deals or tricks?

    Hi Everyone,

I know that there is already a "Getting a Cosmo room cheap" thread, but it didnt really address the higher end rooms. I realize that the Marriott.com thing is a great way to lower the price, but that only works for terraces and below. In particular I am looking at reserving 4 nights in the 2 Bedroom City Suite in July and after tax it comes to about $3,360 not including the $600 incidentals charge. For those who don't know, this room has a king bed for the master and two queens in the second bedroom as well as a pull out bed couch. The next level up is the starting Penthouse for around 7k for 4 nights.

On the Marriott site they do not even list the 2 bedroom suite, just below. I do not think that sandwiching $100 bucks will jump us to a higher room 3k more.

Does anyone know of any way to lower the price of the 2 bedroom suite, or upgrade to the penthouse? Anything info is much appreciated.

For the high level suites you should always call the Hotel, ask to speak to a supervisor. Then you negotiate, give him a club night at Marquee with bottle service or a cabana at the day club and he can probably work with you.
    What I am about.

I am sure you have done your homework but, just in case, the 2 bedroom city suite does not have a terrace. I suggest you go with the wrap around terrace suite with adjoining one bedroom terrace suite and then ask for two rollaway beds. That gets you 4 beds and a huge terrace.

The option above with the wrap around terrace actually ends up costing me more and I would still have to get cots. I like your thinking but I guess for the days I am going that option ended up being more.

I have upgraded to that room on several different occasions. Flying from LA to vegas on jetblue super cheap so just got a city room. Last time I was there on a Tuesday and weds night and gave the girl a $100 and said I would like to upgrade to the 2 bedroom suite, what can you do? She took the room I already had and converted it and ugraded. I ended up paying $50 per night for the room so 200 total with tip. The other time I went it was a Monday and Tuesday night and did the same thing and the guy charged me a 100 a night. I posted a video on youtube with a tour of the suite. Its cool and huge. Tons of space. Maybe it was because it was Monday and tues, but the 2 times I have tried, I was easily upgraded... Hope this is of any help!

Similarly I was able to upgrade to the 2BR Suite. Had 2 City rooms booked (3 nights; Thursday-Sun). Sandwiched $50. She combined the 2 rooms/reservations and all was good. And this is all after I already LNF the original reservations. Saved a couple thousand this way.

ReasonableDoubt, do you remember when you went? I am thinking of goign mid july but i suspect the 2 bedroom suites might be booked out due to summer. And you just booked two city suites (the standard room with 2 queens)? I am goign from thursday - monday, yout hink they'd give me a break haha.

April 10-14, last year (http://forums.jackcolton.com/showthr...ing-April-2013). Yup, just the basic city rooms. It never hurts to try, but it also helps if you know what you're asking for. Specifically you want to ask for the rooms ending in ‘53’ (This is the series number of the 2 BR suite). Also be prepared NOT to get it if you go this route.

We had a connecting Terrace one bedroom last time. I don't believe the Terrace Suite can connect to it. However both tubs are awesome!

I'm a Marriott gold card member, would this and some type of tip/deal be able to secure a 2 br suite or wraparound + connector room at a reasonable price?
What days of the week are you going? If you're going Sun-Thurs I think you have a decent chance sandwiching the front desk agent and them upgrading you to the 2 bedroom city suite. I've been offered to upgrade to that room (and the Lanai) before for $200 a night using the $20 tip. You would need to come with a reservation for some type of room before trying that trick...I had two comp terrace studio reservation when I upgraded to the wrap and connecting room for $75 total per night. PM me if you want specifics or tips...

As for Marriott Gold, it doesn't get you much. But you can enjoy the new Autograph lounge that they've put in the lobby. Before
it was hell trying to find it!

I scored a Wraparound as a Marriott gold in 2012. Granted this was in the middle of the week.

The sandwich won't net you one, just straight up ask what you as a Marriott Gold (which have a certain upgrade entitlement) have to give extra/night for a wrap. For me it was $50/night extra. Best deal I've ever had in Vegas. The german girl I brought there loved the soaking tub.

Ya I have only been in the wraparound terrace suite. I love that bathroom!

Reason why I ask is because I was going to get the wraparound and my buddy was gonna get the connecting room as his girl likes the soaking tub.

Weird, I did a sandwich and asked for a wrap upgrade and they gave it to me for $75 a night but I did already have. comp nights so that might be why they gave it to you for cheaper. Also, I was there on a sun-tues of a holiday weekend...and I'm gold too lol.

Well there's always a lot of variables involved in this on check in.

Is there a bunch of suites available at the moment.
                              What season I'm travelling in.
Is my receptionist a supervisor or just a dressed up bus boy and has she had a good day.
Is my Byredo perfume and Prada suit giving the receptionist clit tingles.
                              What I am about.
