Which hotel for EDC 2014???

Hey whatsup I'll be going to Vegas for 5 days June 19-23 for EDC with my girlfriend and just trying to figure out which hotel is the most fun/price reasonable for this weekend. I'm aware prices are through the roof and so far I'm looking at ARIA for 3 days for a total of $1,189.44$ and Cosmo the other two days when prices go down a bit. Any recommendations and does anyone know if any PROMO CODES out there work for this weekend? Thanks everyone

If your planning on going to Pool Parties and Nightclubs or EDC most nights I would spend as little as possible on a room. There are so many things to see and do in Vegas you really only need a place to sleep for a few hours. Check kayak.com for example a place like Howard Johnson on East Tropicana is about $75 a night for a room with two beds and no resort fee across from MGM- really convenient to Hakkasan/ Wet Republic. Your looking at like $300 total for the four nights with no added fees. Also easy to get to the airport.

Agreed with spending little on a hotel for EDC. Me and a buddy are splitting a room at the flamingo for $760 bucks total for 7 nights. Pretty cheap when you split that by 2, for a great location and a decent pool.

that's pretty high for Aria. Take a look at Palms Place...nice rooms and $199 fri/sat and $99 sun.... granted not right on the strip but close enough IMO.

Wasting way to much money on a room you'll probably never stay in for to long. It impresses the girl but with all of the stuff going on???? My wife loved it when we went MDW 2011 but I got a crazy deal or else I would not have stayed there.

You can do Planet Hollywood for $803 for that time frame. Nice party vibe here. Minor complaint: Room seemed small and dark when we stayed Oct 2011. Want a crash only situation but center of strip? Harrah's for $453 for that same time frame. Did this for our last 2 trips July 2013 and Oct 2012.

Just click on the hotel individually to get the price. To compare you have to exit out and then re-enter for the other hotel or else it will give you just their regular pricing. This is where I got the 2 prices from.

Vdara Hotel Friday June 20 - Monday June 23rd (3 Nights) for $745.45

I really enjoy the Vdara and it will be a great place to recharge after a full night at EDC. Most comfortable beds I have ever slept on.

We are staying Monday - Wednesday after for some R&R and to enjoy Vegas like we normally do. Thinking about getting a joining one bedroom terrace and wraparound terrace at the Cosmo. I have stayed in a Wraparound before but my friends and I want to do the joining room thing. Love me some Cosmo.

I got two double queen rooms booked at Flamingo from 19th-23rd (4 nights) for EDC .. they each are $850 total with taxes, fees, etc. I booked before prices went up to $960 for the same thing

Your best bet is to book through the EDC website. They have the best deals.

I'd say use your money for other things in Vegas but if you still wanna do Cosmo or Aria I think they're on hotwire for $246 & $245 a night

Doing the nightclub/pool party thing as well that weekend so ill hardly be in my room. Booked motel 6 on Tropicana. Walking distance to Hooters and MGM so catching cabs is a breeze. I booked the day before edc dates were "officially" announced. I was able to get it for $33 a night. The next day it went up to $75. When I meet girls and the question comes up i'll just say I booked last minute and that was all that was available. If they are that judgemental about where I'm staying I dont need to be associated with those types of douches anyway.

Agree with everybody else so far, I mean spend if you got it I suppose, but that's cash that can be spent having a good time partying. And judging by the fact your heading there THAT weekend seems like your looking to party more than anything else...

$33 a night with no resort fee during EDC weekend- amazing!!
mgm across the street charges $28 a night just for the resort fee!!! I just checked mgm right now is at $470 a night + resort fee + tax AND your probably a closer walk to Wet Republic then some of the people staying at mgm with Wet's entrance on Koval
Really easy walk to Hak also

a few more tips for you
1. there is a 24 hour independent liquor store right on the property

3. if your going to XS/ Encore beach you should learn about the 119 Koval bus which leaves from your corner right to Wynn/Encore takes 10 minutes and costs $2 or $5 for a 24 hour pass

Koval runs parallel to the strip but a lot quicker to wynn then taking the strip

Two last points you probably already know EDC vegas is soldout- 133,000 tickets sold for each day and a $300 ticket is now selling for $600- its going to be insane in vegas that weekend!
1. Something to think about- if you just want to see what EDC is like- you could buy a just sunday night ticket off someone with a shuttle pass the shuttle leaves from MGM parking garage across the street from you.
2. I would stay for monday- encore beach already announced but Wet will be going also + XS on monday after EDC is usually really good- two years ago it was diplo/skrillex/afrojack and last year it was diplo/afrojack

I stayed at The Trump last year and I'm doing it again this year. I know its not where all the actions at but its nice coming back from the festival at 6am, leaving your car with valet, and not having to walk through a casino, plus I got a stupid deal on hotwire a few months ago.
