    Hey folks,

A newbie here. I read these forums regularly and I have learned a lot of tips from you all, THANK YOU!

My question is on Treasure Island...I've been to Vegas once and stayed at the Palazzo so I like that location. Is TI relatively modern and clean? We don't need 5 star posh, but we'd like to have it remotely nice. I can get a Deluxe Room on hotels.com for $500 taxes in for 5 nights including two free buffets, that's pretty good, I think.

Also, looking at the Petite Suite as it has two bathrooms, any thoughts on these suites?

    Thanks!

I'm not familiar with the suites there, but I've stayed at TI before and wasn't really a big fan of it. It's not that it isn't nice or clean it's just that it was sort of, for a lack of a better word, boring compared to other places I've stayed. If you're just looking for a place to crash that obviously doesn't matter though.

There are definitely worse places you could stay though, but for $500 for 5 nights you might be able to find someplace a little better, but I have no idea what dates you're looking at.

Yeah I guess in that general area on the strip it looks like TI is the cheapest. NYNY is even cheaper on Hotels.com, and I know it's on the opposite end of the strip but if I had a choice I'd probably choose that over TI.

Who knows, maybe the couple times I stayed at TI it was just on off nights or something, but even just walking around the property or sitting down and playing video poker at a bar and grabbing a drink always just seemed a lot more boring than other places I've stayed.

It could just be me too. I have pretty ridiculous ADD so if there isn't constantly stuff going on around me I get bored pretty quickly.

I've stayed at the Mirage twice and liked it a lot. Always lots of stuff going on.

Yeah, if you're choosing between Mirage and TI I'd definitely pick Mirage.

Mirage without a doubt. TI is brutal IMO

I like TI it does what it says on the Tin.

But id pick Mirage purely for 1oak.

Ha ha ha, yeah, I'm not really sure what it is about TI, but it just sort of sucks. I was there on one of my earlier trips to Vegas and they used to have some burlesque bar that was pretty cool, but I think that was the one time I actually enjoyed myself at TI. After that it became some Ed Hardy themed bar and now I think it's a Senior Frog's.

Also, it's nice to see a fellow Wisconsinite on this board!

I like TI, but Mirage > TI for the same price for sure.

I think that bar is currently a country bar btw, but I'm not positive.

Yeah, the country bar is Gilley's, but that's different than the spot I'm talking about. The spot I'm talking about has an outdoor balcony type area that sort of overlooks the pirate show.

Mirage > TI. Usually Mirage price > TI as well if that matters
