  • Booking room directly help

    Hey guys

Coming from the uk and booked a room at caesars and it says estimated room cost $2500 does this means the room cost could go up or include other factors ie if you use mini bar.

Also do you have to ring to
Confirm your still coming dont really want to as long distance calls expensive

    Thanks jc community

I am assuming they are saying this since the amount is most likely not including taxes, daily resort fee and they are assuming you may add other charges like room service, take things out of the fridge, etc.

Are you sure you're booking directly with Caesar's/Total Rewards? I am on their website right now and 'booked' a room just to see what you are talking about.
It lists out the nightly rates, gives you the average nightly rate, and then a subtotal.
Below that it shows resort fees and taxes.
Finally, it gives a grand total cost. I don't see anything in here about estimated rates or anything like that.
You do not need to call to confirm you're coming. They'll send you a confirmation email after you book and if you don't call or cancel your reservation online, they'll assume you're coming.

          Here's from my last reservation:

          Total Trip Cost**
          $159.04 USD
*Excludes tax, recovery charges and service fees
          **Estimated Total Cost

"All reservations must be guaranteed by a major credit card. For general reservations, one night's room and tax are charged upon booking; for package reservations, the full package price of room and tax are charged upon booking. Reservations made with declined or invalid credit cards are subject to cancellation."

They do this in case you decide to add anything else on. When we got there we wanted the deal with the fridge so the total price went up since it was an add on. Rate was the same. It's a cover your ass move on their end. As stated above they hit the card for 1 night's stay once booked. They will hit the card when you check out for everything else. So if room service, restaurant costs etc is added to the room then the cost you were quoted is not going to be the final cost.

No need to call them or anything. Your rate is locked in. If your receipt says the same thing as mine they still will have to add in tax, resort fees, etc. so the total cost will be a little more plus any other costs if you put them to your room.

One suggestion, make sure you bring a copy of the invoice they sent you.

We booked that trip in December before CET started resort fees in March. They tried to hit us on them when we checked in but when I showed them the original invoice they were not able to charge us those fees.

She apologized and all but they were just doing what they are trained to do which I understand.
