For people that's been to the invasions before, is it worth it to pony up for a nice room, or just go budget room and save the extra $$$ for "activities"

I usually stay at Cosmo, Aria or the Bellagio, but i'm looking at going solo this time.. Thinking about Excalibur, Harrahs, Quad, Luxor, etc....

Usually the room is a waste for me. Between pool parties and nightclubs, your only in the room for a quick nap. Usually between now and then, you can find deals that will be better than the hotels you are looking at. Members are usually pretty good about posting deals for the May Event as it gets closer.

Here is a list of what we have done in the past.

In August, i didn't sleep for 4 1/2 nights in row. Didn't plan it but vegas fell on my head and it was a non stop party. the moment I landed it was nightclub -> gambling -> pool party-> eat -> nightclub. Wash, rinse, repeat, and I'm mid 30, and mid 30 people should not be doing this. The room is really irrelevant besides getting little rest, showering, and banging broads. Save the nice rooms for when you have a girlfriend or are trying to impress someone. If you're already bringing a girl back to your room, she's already DTF. The room isn't going to make a difference.

Even my last trip in December, I only really slept in the room for like 4 hours and only returned to shower to get ready for the evening. You're not really spending that much time in the room anyways. Why waste cash on something nice that you're not going to be enjoying regardless.

There are a lot of dates. I have read a ton of reviews and they all sound incredibly solid.

The lowdown?

1. Buy Band
2. Show up to day/night event on-time, at location and dressed appropriately/in control
3. Get walked in to club, no wait and no cover.
4. Drink/dance until i pass out
5. Rinse/repeat?

As long as i follow the dress code and on time/no douchebaggery I should be solid?

Sounds like the most killer deal of a lifetime.

Beyond Solid. There was a sub-forum dedicated to the invasions before the spam bots killed it. You've got the basic idea down, but we also arrange table shares for the pools/clubs whether they are on the schedule or not.

Man, not to derail this thread (I really hope to make it to an Invasion this year), does anyone know what is going on to get rid of the spam on the forum?
